All Time GOAT poll

No, but he’s a bad motherfucker. Insane striker, and very underrated BJJ. Definite weakness against smothering wrestlers, and some losses on his record to less than stellar competition.
Fedor is the greatest MMA fighter of all time.

Not even close, no. Even his multiple PED test failures for different PED's notwithstanding, he is most certainly not the best mixed martial artist ever. Check the polls on here next time you want Sherdog's answer to your question.

Maybe you could argue that during his prime he was the best (like some do with Mike Tyson). He was certainly the most magical for me

Hey you reading this. Maybe 5% of your favorite fighters didn't do steroids.

Yes. Anderson and Fedor are 1 and 2. Simple as.

Anderson Silva would be ranked #4 of all time MMA fighters imo.

1. Fedor
2. GSP
3. Jon Jones
4. Anderson Silva
5. Khabib

Not at all.

Look the odds for Silva vs Okami, like an absolute missmatch
Then loos at odds for Okami vs Fitch and Shields, who are among best GSP challengers. Extremely close or even Okami favoured
That was the magnitude of Silva's aura of invincibility

he's up there in the discussion.

Still cracks me up he beat Brunson lol

You can’t be the GOAT if you got busted for peds. It’s that simple. No real sport recognizes the accomplishments of cheaters. There’s an obvious reason for that.

If you want to call him the best you’ve ever seen. Or most exciting, whatever. But, there’s a poll in here, and he’s a distant 4th. Was that farce of a boxing match supposed to suddenly change people’s minds? That’s ridiculous.

I don’t think there is one true GOAT. But, I know who isn’t eligible for the title. That’s anybody that has ever popped for peds. Let alone double digit losses.

He isn't the Barry Bonds of the sport (that's Jon Jones) but he's the Mark McGwire.

He lost against a bunch of suck-ass japanese fighters, than came to the USA, juiced to the gills, and dispatched some lousy competition, got cocky by smelling his own PEDed farts and got KTFO in the most hilarious way

This is Anderson Silva's legacy:

iGuiraxTFM2ST.gif

If we'd take into account PED and steroids cheaters, Jon Jones is a complete tier above Anderson Silva (Anderson Silva ducked the fuck out of Jon Jones too btw). But since we don't, Anderson Silva isn't top 10

Brutal.

For me he is. His array of finishes during his reign of terror is unparalleled.

A young Jones is the closest I've seen. He wiped the floor with former champs who were suddenly past it after he ran through them.

I appreciate GSP had a dominant title reign in the deepest era of WW, but I rate finishes far higher than 50-45s. GSP's risk adverse strategy minimised the risk of a Serra repeat, but it means he missed a trick from a legacy perspective

I don't think he's necessarily the greatest, but I certainly think he's the most memorable and fun to watch out of all the GOAT candidates. Way more exciting and memorable than the likes of Jon Jones or GSP, despite me maybe ranking those two guys ahead of him in all-time GOAT talks.
