Been the case for years. Difference is due to the police state cameras everywhere and social media, people are finally being caught.

This is no different than stories told for decades about racist incidents that have been taken at face value. Black politicians claim to have faced abuse, threats harassment and they are simply believed, like Kamala Harris and yet there is never any names or proof. Their claims are in our textbooks with no evidence whatsoever.

Just like with false accusations in Duke or UVA or Christine Blasey, there is never any consequences. When John Lewis slandered the Tea Party and was caught lying about facing racial abuse, he faced no censure or bad press. They simply dropped the story.

I don't believe any of his stories. He was always the racist. Same with Clyburn, Jackson Lee and all the rest of their ilk who have made up stories for years.

I wonder if one of our forum lawyers can explain this line from the first link? What precisely is meant by “potential misconduct”?

“In the event the Court is not inclined to grant the Motion, Mr. Smollett, by his attorneys, Geragos & Geragos, respectfully requests that the Court modify the June 21, 2019 Order to clarify that the special prosecutor may investigate and prosecute potential misconduct only, and may not further prosecute Mr. Smollett for the charges that were previously brought and dismissed against him,”

Oh wow, I didn't even see this. It's a shame their altercation wasn't caught on camera. Smollet was hoping it would be but the camera he thought would be recording the attack was facing the other way. It actually would've been the smoking gun against him because it would probably look like those fake as hell stage fights you see on youtube.

Why this racist piece of shit is getting away with this is beyond me. It's unreal the powers behind him trying to keep him out of jail and his name out of the news. I'm very interested in what the special prosecutor finds.

I'm convinced that there was no altercation, because Jussie pussed out on the sell job. Hence why he's only got a little scratch on face, that he did to himself.

I think they’re trying to claim double jeopardy or that they don’t want him charged with what got dismissed but unless it was dismissed with prejudice you can be charged again
