Lol spare me the fake outrage... nobody got hurt and he had no criminal history.
The issue I have is most of us here have no real criminal history either (huge leap of faith but bear with me on it).

ANY OF US pull a stunt like this we're looking at probably a felony conviction with 2-3 months of time that we MIGHT be able to serve on alternatives like work crew, work release, electronic home monitoring.

But this guy basically gets to walk because he did community service in advance and the case is dismissed. "Oh, but he's out $10,000 on his forfeited bond". $10,000 to someone like him is like any of us getting a Sausage McMuffin from the dollar menu.

Who cares what he did wasnt even that bad. It was a victimless crime, like kicking someone in the balls in the dark.

Yep, the courts are SOOOO much harder on white people, it must be hard to be so oppressed.

This guy got off because it was a very minor offense of false reporting and he had no criminal history. Happens all the time.

minor .. you're kidding right ? tf

This HAS to have something to do with being related to Kamala Harris. Her supporting him and then being arrested did not look good for her campaign.

Now that he is "innocent", shes on the right side again.

It was only a victimless crime because as luck would have it, the normally incompetent Chicago PD actually managed to do their jobs correctly and didn't just go arrest two random people that were in the area who would have been crucified.

What he did was a crime, plain and simple. He staged a false attack based on a narrative involving race and sexual orientation, which does nothing but damage the very causes he was trying to bring attention to. He also wasted a lot of peoples time and taxpayers dollars because of all the manpower put into investigating his bullshit. Not to mention he probably sunk a TV show, putting countless people out of work.

So no, this is not a victimless crime. People were hurt by his actions, taxpayers dollars were wasted, and police officers that could have spent time and energy investigating REAL incidents wasted it on him. Victimless my ass.

The resources that the police had to put into this, to first figure out that he was bullshitting and then into exposing his hoax, could've been used to solve cases in an already crime-ridden city.

EDIT: Above post already elaborates on this in greater detail.

Has the bad orange man tweeted about this yet?

Maybe we need to take another look at this Smith-Mundt Act and think a little harder about what we see, hear and read everyday?

<DisgustingHHH> People want to see others held accountable for their actions. Celebrities are always getting off the hook for their bullshit.

hes gonna write a book about real oppression, growing up black and stuff like that, go on Oprah and cry some more.

Don't listen to him, @zebby23 has no idea what the fuck he's talking about, never does.

The minimal amount of effort it would take for him to ensure he doesn't say something so obviously untrue is fascinating
