You assume he hasn't talked to her. The way he's all defeated when talking about it, he definitely has talked to her and she refuses to hear it. So I can see why he's like "Fuck it, might as well talk to my buddies about it" since nothing he says changes the situation. Here is what I know for sure. I would never talk about my daughter on a podcast. All matters relevant to my family were and are handled internally. Even if I had divorced and didn't see my daughter regularly I'm not talking about her on a podcast. Never in a million years. Never, ever, never. When she wanted to talk we would talk face to face. I'd relay my concerns, one adult to the other and keep everything that was said between her and I. I'm NOT talking to my buddies about my daughter.

Gender is the societal label we put on how someone identifies and sex is the visible phenotype that we would normally see people as looking like. A transgender person feels the way they do before any surgeries. The surgery is just to try to give them the body they internally feel they should have had.
