Movies Alien vs Aliens

Aliens and Terminator 2 are the only two sequels that are better than the original and both originals are masterpieces in their own rights. If I am in a horror mood though, Alien is the go to. If I want action, Aliens it is.

I can't think of Alien or Aliens without thinking about the travesty that is Aliens 3 however.

Aliens is more rewatchable but Alien is the stronger experience. Scariest movie I've ever seen. More impactful.

Alien. But that's because I enjoy the 'horror' aspect of it more than the thrill and action of Aliens.

Alien by far.

Aliens is good but it's a typical sequel. Take the most exciting parts of the first movie and spam the entire second movie with it. Usually makes for an entertaining movie but it loses the heart and build up of the original.

Impossible choice almost to me...

I've watched both flicks so so many times.

I will go with Alien cause it didn't have an annoying lil freak (Newt).

Alien is pure art. Almost any frame could be a movie poster.
Aliens is pure badass action. Maybe most quotable movie of all time.

Great analysis. I will also add that Alien is more "pure sci-fi", and Aliens is more "Space Cowboy Action Adventure".

Aliens 2 was a great action film, but as far as sci-fi goes, it's pretty weak. Alien 3 was more fascinating sci-fi (but most people hated Alien 3, probably because it didn't live up to the action expectations after 2).

They mostly come at night. Mostly.
