I say the show goes downhill after the first two episodes. That's the norm for most shows these days.

There's probably a reason they released and cleared critics reviews for just the first two episodes. We'll see.
Criric reviews are for the entire season. Audience reviews are for the first two episodes at the moment.

They were just going for the old not so subtle display of how strong her synth body is.

The physics of that bothers me less than the fact that the Xeno seems to slaughter everyone around joe and constantly leave him alive lol. The trailer for episode 3 does it again. Dude holds the world record for Xeno near misses.
If it happens once, it's a coincidence. If it happens twice, it's plot armor. If it happens thrice, maybe Joe just stinks really really bad. Even Xenos have standards.

It's pretty obvious Joe is going to live for the plot, but it's also pretty fucking ridiculous that anyone would survive getting grabbed off a cliff by a xeno. He's the worst part of the show.

My prediction is that for the next few episodes we wont be getting any Xeno action since thats what this episode was for. So we'll be getting more corporate stuff between the powers and some stuff with the other alien organisms, and probably science-y explanations. I wager there might be a reason the Xeno chooses him to gestate a burster versus the others. I dont think its just going to be happenstance that the Xeno grabbed him instead of killing him.

they need to drop this idea that actors can't sweat or show tears. This gen is devoid of grit. They get makeup kits to place dirt on their face but spread it out so it doesn't damage their portfolio. Completely inhuman acting devoid of soul.

wait, do you think any dirt on the actors in older movies wasn’t makeup?! that’s wild

Whomever did the music needs the fuck the fuck off. This isn't a Looney Tunes episode, we don't need a constant musical undertone.

If you must, use older shit since everything else is a copycat.

same guy that did the music for Fargo & Legion

Watched the first two episodes, just not digging it.

Are they? Lately critic reviews will only cover the pilot, or the first four episodes. They've been screened the whole season?

I wonder which critics enjoy that luxury.

That's because he's actually the one in possession of the strongest force in the universe.
Plot armor.

I liked a lot of it, and can ignore plot armor issues. I will say the kids in adult bodies thing weirds me out.

I don't hate it. Still think the plot is pretty wierd that it's a prequel and the Aliens made it to Earth at the start not later. Seems like it really didn't need to be a prequel.

Or they think "lol, this pussy will make a good impregnate bitch"

I think it is more of a retelling.

The timeline seems pretty set as being before Alien. I dont even see need to set a timeline, just let us know its in the same period of the future. Once we see pulse rifles we get the message.

Also when did Aliens become the Thing? When did we establish they could zombie a cat and transform its eyeball into an octopus?

It is weird it's set before the first Alien.

The eyeball thing isn't a xenomoprh but a different creature I'm guessing. Just like those blood sucking worm things. Seems like there were a few other creatures in the tanks.

There were a bunch of different creatures on that ship, not just the facehuggers and from them eventually the xenomorph.
