You don't get to task me to do thingz... if you're not willing to task yourself. That's why I asked you.
If I feel too... after I find time to watch them both, I might let you know my thoughts. If you watch your movies too though, I'll make a point to join you in the conversation.
Interesting question.
I've personally experienced you tasting teh unholy tea of of publilc opinion and "trolling... & exaggerating"... despite your real opinions.
You've even digressed on the idea that you'd rather eat a steaming pile of shit rather than re-watch a certain movie. Upon calling you out on that statement, you verified that you were exaggerating & that you would actually rather watch the movie again rather than eating a steaming pile of shit, because eating a steaming pile of shit was the worse of the 2. You did however say the prior & stood behind it before I called you out on it.
(lol... do you really want me to recall our past?)
However, I've also seen you actually put thoughtful comments into your posts as well... so I'm not sure which we're working with here. It seems to be a mixure of both.
First thought is that you're trolling me... since you've brought nothing to the discussion other than generalized dissing.
2nd thought... is that maybe that's because you've spoken your mind elsewhere & already have your mind made up... & so you're now giving short & ridiculously "trolling worthy" responses to anyone who goes against your opinion.
Your steaming pile of shit aside... I'm more "Lore heavy" than "action."
Upon a re-watch of AVP1 (which you're unwilling to do) I'm completely immersed in everything that's happening.
In this case, we have both lore & action... but I'll digress that the intro was a bit long before we got to teh monsters... and only touched upon them for a bit in teh first half of teh movie... but after that, it's full on monsters. teh fook do you want? a hole movie of mindless monsterz? Or maybe something like this that buildz up teh entire lore before breaking out teh destruction?
Obviously I'm on teh side of teh build up & background info, but we obviously need the action. I would think that the "leading content" was enough to entice fans of teh series to stay interested on "lore."
I never understood teh resistance to AVP1.
Perhaps they over-explained it for the masses. Strangely this seems to be a common theme of big time movies over-estimating their audiences.
In this movie... we really only have 10 minutes of buildup... & then the "content" is full on with interesting lore & valid content... while teh monsters... though teased through out... only come in full force at teh half way point of teh movie. I enjoyed teh lore building oop.
There's so many good moments offered in teh buildup after 10 minutes... which I assume most of teh resistance is dismissing.... Fook teh monsterz... we'll get that in good time. imo
Once we get to it... it's full on for both.
30 min. in we get crazy background that blew my mind. I honestly don't understand people who would think otherwise that this isn't a pivotal point in Predator/Alien franchise history.
It's not all about monsters on screen... & action at this point ffs. We've done that everywhere for years already... & I was bored with it at teh time... so I welcomed some background story at first watch way back then. Back then... I waz on the edge of my seat!
32:00 - Revealed that the Predator's captured a mother Alien that could be frozen & re-activated when teh Predators were ready.
She waz still able to offer offerspring after infinite amounts of time frozen.
That's pretty important to teh lore & speaks to teh fact that this could take place on any planet.
Teh history at 35:00 where teh touching of teh dormant weapons triggers a beacon... & teh scene at 38:00 where they show all teh skullz of fallen humanz is epic AF & givez perspective of how long they've been doing this.
Back then we didn't know they've been "Hunting" here on earth for god knowz how long!!! This waz ground breaking information when it came out.
Alright... that's enough for now. I'd prefer a real discussion instead of these dick in hand comments you've been offering me.
