I get why people are upset that they didn't make Khamzat RDR for Oct. Especially since Khamzat sustained no damage vs. DDP

I imagine the reasoning behind it is partly to save Khamzat for the paramount debut, but I think there's also the reality that they'd be risking him pulling out/not making it to fight night in his very 1st defense due to an immediate turn around.

Leaving One for the UFC was the best choice RDR made in his life. Look at him now.

He could be a legit for the title. Khamzat is not the guy who will defend 3/2 times a year, but RDR against Khamzat really could be a great fight.

Why are we stuck in this weird spot of not knowing the truth what is going on? Seems like Khamzat wanted anyone. Now we're going to have 2 guys who deserve a title shot afterwards. Guess either way we would've.

Lets say Khamzat fought RDR in Oct. Imavov/Caio winner gets next shot, Fluffy still waving in the wind with his huge W streak. So either scenario there was going to be 2 options afterwards, but I would've liked Fluffy vs DDP in that scenario.

There is always this radio silence between every Khamzat fight, I'm getting sick of it.

Khamzat was never fighting in Oct, he'll fight like Feb or something and you cant even guarantee RDR is next. If Caio beats Imavov impressively he could be next, even Fluffy is there. So you fight Fluffy and whoever comes out of those two fights looking the best is next.

Problem is Khamzat assuming he wins and defends title he wouldnt fight again till summer so someone is gonna be waiting a while for a title.

This division will be backed up for years with khamzat. He is on the islam 1 fight a year schedule. If the champ.cant defend twice a year they need to be stripped. Boxing is dumb but there are multiple belts so at least you can get action. The ufc let's these Russian dudes and jon sit on the title its fucking annoying
