Media Ali Abdelaziz: NO Man 155-185 Beats Islam - Islam FINISHES Alex at 205

I mean, many people had Islam losing to Volk in their first fight... and Volk is a 145er

So, yea... Weightclasses exist for a reason.

There's a reason GSP put Prime BJ Penn on his back and made him quit on the stool.

This was when BJ was destroying everyone at 155 and licking blood off his gloves

But that guy is way better and stronger than Poatan.
With a revolver, he’d have six shots.
In the small octagon I'd still favor Poatan.

He beats most of the top WW including Belal

At 185 his best shot is Strickland. We saw what happened when he fought a wrestle heavy smaller opponent in Usman. Maybe he beats Michele Pereira, Imavov, Curtis, Izzy too

At 205 the weakest grappler is Poatan ironically.

Not them... he beats Lewis and Tuivasa though
I don't think Islam can get Lewis unless it's a leg lock. Lewis is good enough to survive Jailton. Someone like Islam must be super light for Lewis. He can spam that frame/underhook escape he uses all the time. Islam is really giving up too much weight. Lewis at this point of his career is a purple or brown belt. He learned enough BJJ to survive against smaller guys. When someone is that big you don't have to have a lot of techniques. You just need 2 go to moves for each scenario.

I think Islam has an easier time with Alex. Alex is a smaller HW. He is around 230 lbs as opposed to someone who cuts to 265.

The same guy who was getting outmuscled by and barely beat a 5'5 145lber? Lmao, okay.

Islam couldn't do shit to Lewis. Even if by some miracle he got a takedown Lewis would stand up immediately. Islam went a very close 5 rounds with a Volk who had a camp.

I have to agree. There is too much weight difference. Lewis will get tired if another big HW hangs on him but Islam is much lighter. It doesn't take that much effort. It's pretty much every explosive movement on the ground will get Lewis back on his feet. There are weight classes for a reason. You can't give up almost 100 lbs against someone and make it look easy.

You may be right but we're used to seeing islam fight at 155 maybe weighing 175 on fight night.

If its at HW islam will probably weigh over 200
