Algieri will school Garcia as well

Matthyse had gotten the hype treatment 10 times more because he KO'ed a roid less Lamont Peterson and got "robbed" against Zab Judah.

Thats just as bad if not worse than Provo "almost" beating Bradley...
A roidless Lamont? Gtfo with that ignorant bullshit.

Id favor Danny, & i think people are gonna be lining up to fight this featherfisted whiteboy

One hype train crashes and burns, giving way to a knew one.

It was a great performance, and I was very entertained. However, Ruslan was tailor made for him, style wise, and Algeri still looked like he might get taken out almost every round. I had him winning, but it was close, and he (both really) got brutalized.

Garcia, Lucas, Peterson should have no problem with him.

Danny beats the fucking brakes off of him and it wont be close.

Get real.

Garcia would dismantle Algieri. Unlike Provodnikov, Garcia knows not to exhaust his stamina from the very beginning and he'll be more economical with his shots. Garcia is overrated in my opinion but he can still beat Algieri.

"Algieri will school Garcia as well"

"As well" as in, the way he schooled Provo?

Haha GTFO

I can see an Algieri-Garcia fight very similar to last nights fight, very close, Garcia is not the one to be schioled by anyone

Well, Algieri DID school Provodnikov. The guy even said he couldn't fight Algieri's style.

Even if you thought it was close, Provodnikov was just headhunting and missing for the most part. He rarely managed to cut off the ring and thats his whole game.

Yeah, I've heard people saying he gets lucky. Pretty amazing to get lucky as often as Garcia does against top flight competition.

I don't get how he can be one of the most overrated fighters in boxing... Before the Bradley fight, nobody thought he was very good right? And after the Bradley fight, people thought he was dangerous and tough but limited. He wasn't even really favoured vs Alvarado I don't think?

So... beating Alvarado made him the most overhyped fighter in boxing? That seems tough for me to imagine, there has to be some people out there who are more overrated than someone who 2 fights ago was seen as 'limited but dangerous'.

You know sherdog's boxing forum is starting to become as retarded as boxingscene's forums. Anytime an underdog beats the favorite, the favorite "was always overrated". Nobody was giving Algieri a chance, and thinking about provo as the NeXT big thing. 140 needs more unification fights though, everybody is a little uproven still

I picked Provodnikov to win but gave Algieri a shot without even being able to recall if I'd ever seen him fight.

Provodnikov is just not a very good fighter. He's one dimensional and can only win if a guy can't box.

I think the Bradley fight made Provodnikov overrated. Fans saw a flash of power and-

Some of us were familiar with Provodnikov before he fought on HBO. I saw him lose to Herrera. I know what he's about. I really don't think Alvarado is special either.

Give Garcia a slight edge but it's pretty close to a pick 'em fight for me.

I get what you are saying, it's more a comment on how if provo is the most hyped, everyone else in boxing must be rated completely in line with their actual ability, since I wouldn't describe the Provo hype as all that crazy comparatively.

Then again maybe I'm just too used to joe rogan talking about everyone as if they are goat material week in and out, to find the provo hype very disturbing :p
