Alexander Volkov the next Contender?

This guy has the size, technique and is young for a HW.

Has not fought since September.

Not sure about his wrestling and he seems to lack power, but don't see any other interesting matchups for Stipe. I don't want to see Stipe fight Werdum again.

Volkov vs Werdum for the next title shot?

Volkov v. Overeem would be a fun fight. Volkov gets a title shot with a win, Overeem would get a #1 contender fight.

I honestly think that Cain is up next, as it would make the most money. I don't think Cain needs the belt again though unless they coat him in bubble wrap between fights.

I dunno if anyone that size can be honestly be categorized as no power..he has power he just prefers to remain techincal and use his reach as he should hes super long and tall hes a smart fighter with a good streak going but he needs a top 5 opponent first..then stipe.. maybe late 2018 title shot if fights a top ranked contender soon..it would be an interesting puzzle to solve for stipe..i think

They should try for a Cormier vs. Miocic superfight before giving Cain another unwarranted title shot. Cain needs to prove himself healthy before getting another title shot. Volkov vs. Werdum/Overeem seems good.

Ngannou needs to take a step back, rather than taking on two HW GOATs back to back. Either Derrick Lewis or a returning JDS would be good fights for Ngannou.

Thats why he shouldn't just get a title shot coming off another injury and 1 win over Travis Rousey.

For the record I'd like Volkov to win to shake things up. But if Cain beat him I'd have no problem with him fighting Stipe a few months later.
