Volk's gonna turn 36 this month and probably be halfway to 37 by the time the Topuria rematch happens, in the likely event that Topuria beats Holloway

I get that the 2nd Islam loss was up a weight class on short notice and the Topuria loss was his first FW loss but still, the title shot on 3 losses is super weird and I think Topuria's going to KO him even easier at 36.5y/o than at 35y/o

He's not coming off of 3 losses -- It's 2 losses, and one being a short notice fight a weight class up. I get that it's not exactly an exciting rematch, but when you think of the fact that it was volk's only loss ever in that weight class, it's not that crazy to give him another crack.
