Media Alex Pereira wants trilogy vs Izzy

When? Are you drawing some type of equivalency from Izzy being stopped standing (TKO), and Alex being knocked out cold (KO)?
Alex left Israel on an oxygen mask in Glory he knocked him out so bad and Israel fought Guillard in MMA like 5 months later.

Izzy has responded to every single message from Alex since the fight. Let’s see if he replies to this.

Izzy still being on a victory lap like 4 weeks after the fight is very on-brand for him. He’s an insufferable weirdo. I don’t get how he has so many fanboys.
Interesting.

So Israel replied every other time but now he's gone quiet?

Yeah dude, an undersized Guillard who was 3-10 (2) in his last 15 fights. Not the same thing.
lol why do people around here keep making excuses not to see amazing fights?

Alex has been fighting a long time in many wars, got medically cleared fast after the KO, and feels like he's good to go.

Time to strike while the iron's hot.

I bet the UFC makes the fight.

It's Izzy's biggest fight.

The fact that Pereira hasn't clapped back at Izzy with the picture of him requiring OXYGEN is a damn travesty. Come on brotha, apply yourself to this shit talking or don't do it at all

Alex already did, this tweet was Izzy clapping back at that tweet. Also don't know how much Alex actually controls that account since he doesn't seem to speak a word of English, but if he does replying directly to Izzy's post makes it seem the constant taunting is getting to Alex which is only going to encourage Izzy to keep doing it so probably wasn't the best move.

Well, that would be the right thing to do, right? After all, he gave Adesanya the rematch right away and Adesanya's "fans" and paid minions never remember the fact. So, it's just Poatan's merit.

We all know why Adesanya is running away cowardly, closing his ears and screaming from the rooftops "it's settled". His KO was impressive, no question about it, but the last fight said a lot by itself.

The only reason it was a standing TKO was the ref stepped in. He was bent forward in the perfect psotion to take a career ending knee to the face. Izzy was KO'd much worse in their 2nd fight, but his career never ended.

U guys just cant let it go. You cry of constant rematches, yet you think alex has the best chance of beating izzy so you will want them to fight again, even though alex just got slept bad.

lol fizzy fucked up. he now pissed pereira enough to actually want a rematch, he was fine with going to lhw before that. just like in 2018 or something when he gave that interview. deja vu

He knocked out Izzy 6 months ago.

It's 1-1 in the UFC.
Izzy was a long reigning champ who was ahead on all scorecards until the last minute stoppage. It was also a standing tko, lots of controversy around the stoppage, myself included.

gsp is also 1-1 vs matt serra, i didnt see anyone calling for that trilogy.

in what world is he better than Izzy?

He has been hit with the same shot the last 3 fights, only surviving via a standing 8 count and the luck of the bell

Take that away and what happens? - he gets knocked out cold

And the first fight.... the dodgy ref decision

He can have his 3 "wins", but everyone knew the circumstances.. that's why he was still the underdog despite being "3-0"

He's not as skilled as Izzy, so makes up the difference through size. But now the weight cut that enables this is starting to catch up with him - he's 36.

I don't think he will ever beat Izzy again. He could barely do it as is - he needed to be saved twice in a row to get it done.

adasanay has 100 fights never been stopped in any sport other than pereira knocking him out twice.
landing the cleaner harder shots throughout the fight isn’t a dodgy decision. you talk like standing 8 counts are rare. They existed even in boxing until 20 years ago.
it’s more dangerous for fighters is why they got rid of it. You basically say well pereira was hurt twoce so when he came back and kod izzy it doesn’t mean much
Discounting that it’s a very impressive way to finish a fight
The same with Izzy’s last ko.

MW is so dead I could see this happening

Over the top gloating and then ducking the trilogy fight?

I picked Izzy to win the last one, but damn, this is a terrible look unless he's trying to act like he even surprised himself by winning.

He's behaving like someone who got lucky and knife killed a bear, and is all high on themselves because of it, riding the ego boost and wanting others to feed it with him - however, and for good reason, wants absolutely nothing with actually knife fighting another one.

Luck? Lmao

First I don't know how you luckily knife kill a bear, but if you managed to kill bear that tried to kill you,I'd gloat over that shit all day and not fight any reincarnated versions of same bear,or at least not give that bear any ladders to help him come get me.

Luck? Lmao

I didn't say it was actually luck (I picked him to win, knucklehead), but that his behavior indicates that even he, to some degree, must feel as though he pulled off something surprising.

He'd much rather ride this wave then get back in there and try to repeat the performance, really finalizing the rivalry in his favor. It's not the look of true confidence.

Pereira got lucky he has any wins over Izzy, let alone 3. His luck has run out. Nothing but long naps in his future if he rematches Izzy.

Alex should fight Khamzat next though so I can LOL when he gets subbed in the 1st 120 seconds lol
