Alex Pereira Reacts to UFC 321 Headliner, Jon Jones Responds to 'Poatan'

Alex wants money...

Jones wants money and an easy fight...

I can't really blame either of them... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

but tis isn't the fight MMA fans want to see. We want to see Jones vs Aspinall.

Just look at Sherdog. It's split between fans and haters of Jones/Aspinall and it's super toxic. Reminds me of Conor vs Khabib. Perfect.

Pereira and Jones' fanbases aren't even close to being as confrontational, which is a solid evidence that this fight is lame and predictable.

And that's what's fucked about this sport, or what it has become. Legit fights don't matter, number one contenders don't fight for titles, champs don't have to fight new and younger contenders, just pick and choose easy fights and repeat over and over.

Defend or vacate.

Strip Poatan off his belt if he is no longer interested in fighting LHW contenders. He's out there promoting a heavyweight fight while holding the light heavyweight belt hostage.
They don't need to everyone at lhw is 2 fights away from a TS..

Ulberg is on a 9-fight winning streak - the second longest in the LHW history - and has 3 top 10 wins.

Why does he still need 2 more fights? Pereira got his title shot after just 1 fight (a controversial split decision over Jan, who also lost to Ulberg).

He can make his "money fight" (and be humiliated in the White House, consequently ruining his entire legacy) without holding the belt hostage.

Anderson fought at LHW as a late replacement. This is different.

When will Pereira defend his belt? In a year?
Losing to Jones is hardly ruining your legacy, winning as an underdog would cement his legacy. 2 sides to every coin.

Silva fought three times during his reign & they were all must watch TV. If pereira does what silva did to griffin that would be history.

Silva took a year off between defending the mw title twice after testing LHW

For the general public, he'll be remembered more for losing badly to Jones and looking like shit in the White House than for anything else. It's a permanent damage to his legacy. And I don't know why you keep comparing him to Silva. They are not on the same level. Anderson was a dominant champion with 10 title defenses, he took some occasional LHW fights but always as a late replacement. Alex just won the belt and already wants to duck contenders.

It would be satisfying to see Jon get his head taken off by Poatan after all the BS he has been pulling, but he is not a stupid man. If he takes this fight its because hes seen enough of Poatan to feel confident he can beat him without too much trouble.

They should just have Jon defend the HW belt against Poatan at the white house.

It's not like Tom was ever really the champ. Never actually won it. Never defended it. Got finished by Gane in under a round.

Jon is still the UFC HW champion of the world.

These are real fighters. Great ones. And not some riffraff, without a clan or tribe, and even fading with faking injuries from near lost fights.<RomeroSalute>

As I said earlier its good TV, Jones vs Pereira out does any fight you can make at LHW for him financially.

If he happens to beat him that would be outrageous, if he loses it was expected because Jones is that dude

Edit: he only defnded 3 or 4 times before testing lhw
