Is Alex Pereira in the GOAT conversation to you guys?

What If he gets the belt back vs Ankalaev and then, gets a third belt in HW by beating Tom...? How high would you rank him? Because I think he's capable of that....

Absolutely not. He’s not the best in any weight class he’s competed in—i.e., he’s not the MW GOAT, he’s not the LHW GOAT—nor does his resume across multiple weight classes warrant it. Hendo for example isn’t in GOAT discussions, but has done more across 3 weight classes than Pereira.

Alexander Pereira — GOAT. End of conversation

Hendo is IMO the true definition of p4p great, his natural abilities have carried across 3 weight divisions.

Well, if Pereira gets the belt back, moves up and get the HW belt... I wanna know how would you guys fit him. He'd have gotten 3 belts in 3 different divisions and have beaten 7 world champions, in 3 different weight classes... All while fighting fighters generally younger and mostly champions.

If he beats Ank then Aspinall, he’s definitely in the conversation. Absolutely.

he beat fighters like jamahal hill and jiri
guys like gustafson and freakin rumble johnson is way way way better than them
even bader or davis would beat them
hell i would give prime chris weidman an advantage and a big chance to beat them including pereira

Best Ank dominant to show 1st was fluke - beat Khamzat. Move and beat Aspinal or champ at time- then hes in that talk. Untill then he's a exciting fighter but nowhere near goat status

GOAT conversation is stupid. But if there was one, why the fuck would he be better than ANY of the other guys people usually bring up in this discussion? just take a day off.

Alex is awesome but he's nowhere close.

If he can beat Ankalaev, Boner, Tom, Pavlovic, DDP, Ulberg, Jan, Gane, Blaydes, Khamzat and Strickland, it would help.

I don't think it would put him in the top 3 but it would be getting him closer to the conversation. If he beat all those fighters, his list still wouldnt' look better than Bones or GSP on paper.

He would also need to beat fighters that aren't stars, yet, which would mean he would have to enter his prime at about 45 years old.

No matter how much you like a fighter, GOAT means better than any other fighter that has ever done it.

The lengths they have to go to get there are almost astronomical.
