Crime Alex Padilla arrested, handcuffed.

Of course not. However, one has to have their head in the hand to think an institution like ICE has not been emboldened and empowered in their mission and boldness to assault basic civil rights. Institutions follow norms, and the norms Trump set both in his first and second terms, are fundamentally unamerican.

If you encourage aggressive actions the erode civil rights as chief executive, your police will follow suit, and vice versa.

That was secret service and fbi, but ok.

That "incident" was telegraphed/theatrical as hell. He was grandstanding all week beforehand, and he was going to force his "viral moment" as if his life depended on it. Congratulations, he succeeded in getting it..here's his cookie.

Dude just tried to ask a question, and than was taken out, down and handcuffed.

If any side was forcing theatrics it wasn't him.

Alternate headline: "Large Man Lunges at Small Woman"

Also, Senator Padilla was not arrested. He stated that in his press conference

Padilla: "This is not about me..."

Also Padilla: "Hey is that a camera and a microphone?

Dude had his staff standing a few feet away recording - thats were the "new video" came from - hey, but this wasnt theatrics. Lol

He rushed forward. He had taken off his Senate Security pin. He could have scheduled a meeting or his own press conference. He did this to create an event for easily manipulated people to believe and be outraged by. He's a clown. 🤡

He was going toward the stage and her and he was not wearing his security pin so they had no idea who he was. He could claim to be Lincoln. After this was over and she found out who he was she talked to him and even gave him her official phone number si he could call if he had any questions.

Just let the unidentified man aggressively approach the stage, you nazi!

Can anyone confirm if this is real? I am surprised Trump went down to the senate today to play this, despite everything else going on in the world
