Aleksander Emelianenko just got 4,5 years

No he won't be - repeatable offender - he will be there at least for 3.5.
Now some replies to those who cares:

1. On being 'in trouble' for being a rapist - possible but unlikely. It is true that rape is not a superpopular charge, unfortunately in Russian prisons at the moment there are too many rapists and if AE was going there for the first time - it would be 60/40 of being made a b!tch but very unlikely at the moment.
2. For being in trouble for his tatoos - could not be more wrong - he went to jail for the first time for probably the most popular crime - armed robbery, which automatically qualifies him to a privileged position among thief hierarchy, the stars on his shoulders and the web indicate that he is a 'бугор' and belongs to the top of the thugs hierarchy and participated in riots - equivalent of a commander. Almost a thief in a law - which is the highest rank
3. Adventures on rear-end - a popular russian expression искать на задницу приключений. Nothing to do with the homo - just basically saying looking for ways to get your ass into trouble.
4. About the claims that rape is complicated matter and cannot be judged harshly - I actually know what you mean because a wife can sue a husband and yes often there is much more than meets the eye. But not in this case - I have been following closely the case hoping for at least a bit of justice, it cannot be more straightforward the girl was forced into multiple acts time after time and was scared for her life. I was watching russian talk shows where the scum lawyer tried to proof that sex was consensual because he only gave her a slap on a face which did not even lead to a concussion. I wish that AE slapped the lawyer to proof that a guy like AE should not render you unconscious to get it 'his way'
5. AE had it coming for years he had multiple cases started against him related to the rape charges that were dropped before because the victim was too scared to proceed.
6. Just to put it into perspective - search for a clip on youtube how AE talks to the Russian 'special forces', the clip is in russian but the bottom line is he is insulting the officers, threatening to take the machine gun from them

Bottom line - unfortunately he only goes to prison for 3.5 -4 years, where he will be extremely comfortable and is more likely to come back being double or triple threat to the society

hopefully its not completely what happened for the sake of the woman, as that is really wrong, but he was an interesting guy to see fight, so i hope he can keep his head up as well, last time i had a spot of bad news, the very next day i had the best luck of my life

He had his shoulder tats covered over/disguised to look like another design which is strange unless he didn't earn them and because of his high profile in the media, perhaps he was approached about removing them.

I think you're only allowed to wear those kind of tattoos if you're an active criminal. Aleksander "retired" from criminal activities by pursuing a MMA fighter's career and earning legal income, so he had to cover them up.

If he decides to continue his career as a thief again, he shouldn't have a problem. At this point, I doubt he has a choice in the matter. Once you spend time in a Russian prison, you're usually a prisoner for life.
 
I've only seen pictures of two people were looked scarier than him in this mugshot - two Russian cannibals posing with a dead baby they are going to eat during a famine in 1921.
