my source is some interview with Fedor years back; i used to work for Fighters Only magazine in the UK. Consistently anyone around fedor's or alex's camp / Red Devil used to openly laugh about Aleks and his stories, roll their eyes and stuff.

aleks never killed a bear with a knife. He has never been able to back that claim up. Likewise he has never been able to dispel the talk of him having Hepatitis and has done nothing to try and do so besides one bizarre italian-language certificate he got from somewhere, which no athletic commission would accept.

He is a sick man with a lot of problems including heavy alcohol addiction. In recent years his alcohol use and its effects have spiralled out of control; today he has hit a brick wall which people saw coming a few years ago.

Fedor: No. In his case it's far from an accomplishment. Even though 3 and a half years really held back his growth as an athlete. And in the social life Aleksander became different. Prison really made its imprint. His outlook on life has changed, and it seems, not in a good way.
