1-) Who is Akbar Abdullaev ?

Akbar Abdullaev at only 27 years old display a record of 12 bouts for 12 wins with an impressive legendary 100% finish rates.

2-) Background
Started freestyle wrestling in his youth in his homeland (Kyrgyzstan)
Trained a lot in Russia since many years
3-) Status
P4P n°1 fighter in One featherweight division (70 KG)
One FC champ
4-0 in One
P4P n°2 70 kg fighter outside the UFC behind Usman Nurmagomedov (P4P n°1)

4-) Recent bouts

Destroyed Ho Taek Oh who was 9-2 in the first round

Killed Aaron Canarte who was 10-0 in the first round

Crushed Halil Amir who was 10-0 in the second round

Won the One featherweight title by beating Tang Kai who was 19-2 in a fifth round finish

4-) What's next ?
Who would be next ? A fight against Shamil Gasanov (14-1) ? A rematch ? Akbar Abdulaev in the next years could move a weight class up and challenge Alibeg Rasulov (14-0) or Christian Lee (17-4)
This is greatness in the making. Could One make event in Kyrgyzstan with Akbar Abdulaev in main event, making him a PPV star, conquering the Kyrgyzstan market like One used to host event in Myanmar with Aung La Sang ?

He's one of a handful of really elite FWs outside the UFC. Islam Omarov, Timur Khizriev, Bibert Tumenov, Losene Keita, Salahdine Parnasse and Akbar Abdullaev. I'd say Aaron Pico but his chins too much of a liability. Guys like Khasan Magomedsharipov, George Mangos, Shakhban Gapizov are really big prospects but young and yet to amass the body of work to insinuate being elite at a world class level.

Kyrgyzstan doesn't buy PPVs and their monthly income translated to USD would make the 80-90 dollar price tag absurd, even a 40-50 dollar one. Small population as well. I still think Razbahli and Daniyar are better talents than Akbar from Kyrgyzstan, Akbar with some refinement on his striking technique and mat grappling would be a UFC contender level talent though. He's not young though, 27 is prime, same age as Ilia.

Also putting Akbar Abdullaev ahead of everyone besides Usman outside the UFC is weird, is Usman even number 1? Compared to Kyoji? Islam Omarov? Magomedrasul Gasanov? Losene Keita? Salahdine Parnasse? Patchy Mix? Shamil Musaev? Vadim Nemkov? Eduard Vartanyan? Christian Lee? And quite a few others.

Central Asians and Russians are absolutely crushing, it's clear they have a pedigree from starting much younger on average and competing far more often by the time they're 18-20 than Western fighters ontop of them having that strong physical and wrestling base from their cultural and Judo, Wrestling and Sambo being so popular....and aspect of the game most Latinos, Americans, Canadians, Brazilians, Oceanians, Europeans and East Asians lack and lack the resources to even try an correct. But chill with the hyperbole, he's not fucking P4P #2 Outside the UFC, he's prolly not even the best 27 year old FW outside the fucking UFC. He is really great though.

Any thoughts Rajabali Shaidullaev?
Another Steppe Bro that's young and undefeated with all finishes.

Razhabali Shaydullaev is my number 1 BW prospect outside the UFC, Daniyar my number 1 Flyweight similarly so. Only issue I have is Razhabali has been fighting up a division in Rizin and looks a little too small.

Central Asia is the spot right now.

I'm pretty sure he said P4P best 70KG fighter outside the UFC after Usman Nurmagomedov, so the fighters that you mentioned are irrelevant and they don't fight in 70KG(155lbs) division, I think Akbar is even better than Usman, Akbar has way better cardio than Usman

Akbar is a 145er its just ONEs weight adjustment. Vartanyan, Amru and Lee have arguments over Usman. Also Hughes is in the discussion.

Its more about the fact that goverment supports you as a amateur fighter, being ammy fighter is your job and you are basically a pro really

West cant compete since you have to work a real job and dont get any support from goverment.Like few years back winning russian national ammy boxing championship got you 120 000 dollars and a new car(huge reward on russian salaries)

In my country golden medal and handshake lol

Lee is not even LW and he doesn't look good, and Vartanyan is too old, Akbar is definitely better than all of them

Akbar is a Featherweight. Hes top 5 FW outside the UFC Islam Omarov, Salahdine Parnasse, Losene Keita, Timur Khizriev and Akbar Abdullaev.

Lightweights that are the best are Christian Lee, Usman Nurmagomedov, Paul Hughes, Amru Magomedov and Eduard Vartanyan. Vartanyan is old, I agree but hed beat Akbar at 155lbs hes much bigger and more experienced vs better competition. Christian Lee looked amazing vs Alibeg going up in weight I thought, especially after his long layoff.

Razabali Shaidullaev fought three times in 2024 and had fought once in 2025.

Akbar Abdulaev had only fought once in 2024, and once in 2025.

4 times against 2 times. You are twice active with One.
