After banning transgenders, Trump says America worships GOD not GOVERNMENT

Okay - again my man which scriptures are you bringing up- you can't bring up both cause they're talking about 2 different things. Matthew 16 is talking about the transfiguration that happens in matthew 17.

Matthew 24 is speaking of the end times. There is much debate about this "generation" meaning- but the parable of the fig tree some bible commentaries say that it's speaking of the regeneration of Israel and when that happens that Generation will not pass away before the end times occur. Others say "that generation" in the original text would be better translated that "this nation" will not pass away. Matthew 24- i hold a neutral stance on as i really don't know. One of those things that is not going to make or break my faith if i don't understand in regards to what generation Jesus is referring to. I personally play it safe and go with the idea that Matthew 24 might very well be referring to the nation of Israel in the original text of "this generation"

Yet again, some of those who are standing here who will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.

It is absolutely absurd to say that Jesus, speaking to 3 people at the time, while speaking to them about things that they would see, was referring to a nation, not a generation, 2000 years into the future and counting. I mean come on.

Next, are you gonna argue that when Jesus died the veil of the firmament (which does not exist) tore, and an earthquake shook all the dead people out of their graves, and they walked around talking to the people they knew in life?

It is not honest or moral to believe these things.

hahaha come on, idk maybe i'm explaining this wrong? We're not getting anywhere with this. matthew 16 happened and Jesus was talking about the transfiguration that occured 6 days later according to the bible.

Matthew 24 and the verse you're taking out of context and mixing it in with Matthew 16. Matthew 16 and Matthew 24 i personally don't think had anything to do with one another and was most likely spoken about days/weeks/possibly months apart. But that's just my speculation. I could be wrong in regards to that passage and who He's addressing. I won't claim to have all knowledge of everything- Believe what you shall.

AND yes i will argue that last part. Jesus did die, the veil torn, an earth quake happened, dead men came out of their graves...and i'll take it one step further. Jesus then ROSE from the grave on the third day.

What is your story? that somethng came from nothing. A giant explosion happen and now you have a wife and family with a dog and a picket fence where you're only concern is your 401k? How did something come from nothing? lets flip the script- what is your beliefs? How did you come into existence?

Jesus was obviously not speaking of his coming back in 6 days, come on. Where was the Kingdom of Heaven when he came back 6 days later? Why would Jesus be speaking of signs in relation to something happening in less than a week? Where was his father and his angels, coming to repay each man according to his deeds 6 days later? Seriously, this is a terrible, terrible line of reasoning.

Your gross oversimplification aside, the science at this moment seems to point towards the hot big bang being the start of the current universe. Whether or not this came into being as a daughter universe, as many theoretical physicists posit, maybe it was beginning of just another universe within a multiverse, or something even more exotic. I dont know exactly how this happened, and unlike believers, I am not prepared to simply proclaim the answer as something I can not prove, nor could possibly hope to know.

The one explanation that does nobody any good, and does not explain anything whatsoever, is a God, itself outside of time and space (which makes no sense, as a God would exist before time, hence in relation to time, and somewhere ele, which would be physical space), who suddenly creates it all, literally for no other purpose than to have a single primate species worship him in a completely other dimension of his creation after he lets them die.

If God created all of this, God's mere existence brings up the question of who or what created God. Any appeals to God being outside of time and space are futile, unimaginative, and do not logically cohere.

You seem to be confusing cosmology and evolution through natural selection as the same thing. On how humans are here, the science has made it quite obvious that we are not even the end result, but a result of genetic adaptation and mutation over countless generations, over billions of years.

On how I got here: I dont think I need to explain the sperm egg relationship to you.

Does it bother you that you believe in the veil of the firmament, even though we know our planet is a sphere, and the Temple of Jerusalem is not the center of the universe, and the focal point of creation? How does it feel to believe in things you knew did not happen when you were 8 years old? All the historians, Jewish, Roman, Persian, etc in the area, just missed the zombie uprising, right?

There- i drowned out all that non-sense you used to camouflage your answer for you.

The fact of the matter is you try to justify you're reasoning with a few scientific words, some hypothesis, but deep down inside every person knows there is a God. The universe declares His existence. Creation does not come about without a creator.

Nah. He's a legit piece of shit. The fucking loser makes posts against feminism and about fiscal conservatism but he lives off his wife and refuses to work. At least the hard line conservatives here have done SOMETHING to warrant their opinion.

Dude threw a fit and tried to get me banned once, cried like the loser he is and said he would never post here again (then crawled back like a little bitch)

I've never encountered a more pathetic individual. He can fuck himself.

Oh. Forgot to tag the worm.

@Devout Pessimist

Now cry about free speech then report me lol.

My reasoning was straight from the supposed words of Jesus of Nazareth, as the book you believe in states. You have failed, repeatedly, to address this issue. Seeing as Jesus clearly stated that Judgment Day would occur within the lifetimes of the people he was speaking to, you countered with the transfiguration, stating that Jesus was talking about 6 days in the future, neglecting his own words, in which he talks about his father and angels judging men according to their deeds.

So which is it? Either way, Jesus was wrong. If he was talking about him coming back in 6 days, he was wrong, considering his father did not come back within the lives of his apostles, the people he was speaking to at the moment. If he was not referring to this period 6 days in the future, he is wrong then as well, considering all his apostles died before all the signs and Judgment by his father was supposed to happen.

No, not everyone knows there is a God. I presume you dont believe in every single other God than the one you were raised to believe, right? Cant prove they dont exist, but that does not convince you, right? Some of us dont have a need for a diety that commands you to fear and love him, which is the essence of sado masochism, the torturer's mind set.

dude i'm banging my head against a wall here with you. The end of Matthew 16 HAS NOTHING TO do with MATTHEW 24.

Goooooood day sir!

Ok, so we're clear, you dont care to actually address the contradictions of your holy book. Cool. It's not like Jesus said any of the stuff I quoted.

Trump is a fake Christian and is playing you folks, he would grab the Virgin Mary by the pussy. Plus God is a superstition anyway. And lol at worshiping government, that isn't even a thing.
According to Trump, I believe the definition of worshiping government is a strong belief in checks and balances.

You don't have complete freedom of speech here, this is a forum with rules you abide by or you face the consequences.

So in your mind if you don't believe dead men rose to life from their graves the only alternative is something from nothing?
