No it didnt, they had to cancel it like the day of the show.

That is a massive loss of money, already. Think of all the ticket sales they had to return after renting a fucking arena
I am pretty sure they didn't cancel the day of the show. They quit one week before the show.

Barnett tested positive in July. The fight was in August. They had a little less than 2 weeks to find a replacement. They folded around 2-3 days after news of Barnett failing the test came out. They also rejoined the UFC as their sponsor on that same day. They could have found a replacement. They could have rescheduled. They did that for the second event when Fedor got hurt.

Could be.

That was a long time ago in a galaxy far away

Still i think the show getting cancelled was just a fuckin disaster. There was already talk this third would be the last one but.....At least they were prepared to lose the money to make the show happen.

It's worse when there's no event at all

What was the dude choking Dana's name? I used to know it but time and substance abuse has stripped me of that knowledge it would seem.
That's Tom Atencio, vice president of Affliction (may the org RIP, these first 2 events were bangers)

I was gutted when that 3rd event was cancelled, at the time I thought I'd never forgive Barnett for robbing us of the Fedor fight, but I just can't stay mad at the Warmaster <Fedor23>

MMA in the ring, Fedor, Belfort, Barnett, Arlo, Dave Mustaine... it had it all.

It was great for the fighters because they were getting paid huge. Some great fights. I don't think it was sustainable, regardless if Barnett killed the promotion or not

It was cool since it had some big names and big fights, but it unfortunately proved that not all fighters are bigger than the big name organizations.

If it was the other way around it would have sold huge numbers.

i kinda just watched it cause it had big fights. Can't complain about that. I didn't care about anything else.

Tbh, I thought Affliction was a corny company and the music stuff was dumb. Tito Ortiz had a microphone for some reason. WAMMA was silly.

The UFC and most secondary leagues were better ran promotions except for Elite XC which was ass cheeks.
