I agree Dr Rex, PHD. He has it all. Cool finisher, good looking dude, good gimmick, but right now he is not champ material.
It was a piss poor performance on commentary, and head to head on the mic with Bryan. He should have been going nuts when Danielson was kicking the Dark Order dude, but he was not doing shit. For a while I thought he had a dip in his mouth, for the gimmick and that is why he was not talking.
He is a baby face champ with no fire.
Tony Skeevonie is such a pro, he was even trying to lob Page softballs on commentary and Page just did not get it, Brother. Hell even Excaliber was trying to set him up on commentary.
Page can be saved, and the best way to do it, is take the belt off him, let him chase Danielson in a program, who will make him better. A one and done with Danielson will not help Page. Make him chase for a couple months. If they keep the belt on him and he does this luke warm shit, the AEW smart mark crowd will turn on his ass and then he is done as a draw.

Good point. I hope Cody is doing some meta shit. Everyone hates him and the best part is he is trying to be a face. He has been in the business long enough to know what he is doing.
He trotted out a bunch of characters in WWE. His Dashing Cody Rhodes and Stardust gimmick, I liked both of them.
Hopefully he keeps it up, with less blading or his head will look like his fathers did.

If I remember correctly there was a part on commentary when Xcalibur asks him a question and he kind of mumbles something that you can't hear and Xcalibur just says, "Okayyy" and moves on. Come on, man! Build the feud up.
 
Danielson should go over clean as a whistle.

I don't hate Cody. Dude is likeable as fuck outside of the ring.

You say what ever he's doing is "working" because people hate him, but that's only true if he's a heel, which everyone is convinced he's some super double secret heel, which he's not. He's legit the same exact guy he was when AEW launched, he's done absolutely nothing different.

We saw him work as an actual heel in ROH and New Japan and it worked.

If he's full no kayfabe meta super double secret heel, it's not giving him heel heat, it's giving him go away heat. People want to see heels with good heat, people are at a point where they legit don't want Cody on the show.

What's annoying is, he actually will turn heel at some point and everyone will be like "see, we told you, he was gonna be heel this whole time, it just took 3 years" lol

I like him, his brother, and his cousin as rappers, but this is corny as fuck.

He's a quasi-famous rapper among hardcore hip hop fans. He's a super wrestling nerd that names a bunch of his songs after wrestlers and has for years. Dude is always at a ton of AEW and WWE shows. Years back him and his brother even called their rap group Hall & Nash lol

He's the one Greg Hamilton the WWE announcer flipped out over for using him announcing a wrestler in one of his songs. Greg Hamilton flipping out and threatening him with WWE lawyers is one of the things that got Greg fired a couple months ago lol

I'm guessing that's the dude front row with a shit ton of bling on and a winter jacket.... While everyone else were in t-shirts. Noticed him but had no idea who he was and can't say I recall him from previous shows but last night he stood out
