I enjoyed the show. Some good stuff, some mediocre stuff. A lot of stuff that did not belong there.
Major gripes: Way too fucking long. Especially for a "b" ppv. No reason for that.
Also, this was like the 3rd? PPV in 6 weeks. This is getting nuts. Unless AEW ends up on the rumored MAX sports stuff, Khan needs to chill on this shit.
Show could have been a home run if it was 3 hours, and you took away some of the more TV appropriate matches. Also, I hate to be that nerd, but why was there only one woman's match that lasted less than 10 minutes on a 4 and a half hour show? I know the division is not the best, but still.
Swerve is a star. Dude has everything they need. I hope he is done with Hangman, and moves on, hopefully to MJF.
Julia Hart stepped up I thought. Best she has looked, and considering she has not exactly been wrestling a ton, she is showing a lot of growth, unlike some other ladies (Looking at you Anna Jay (I look at a lot))
Since Cole is injured, lets go ahead and have someone take those belts off MJF. Cute enough match, but I assume the Kingdom is coming a callin.
Danielson and ZSJ was what we all expected, don't think I need to say more.
Christian/Darby was good, not great. Did not really feel like a main event to me, but thats a quibble. Nick Wayne betrayal was expected, but good and the right call.
Edge comes out, and immediately goes face. I am hoping this is some plot of Edge and Christian, though for what who knows, because Edge works much better as a heel, AEW needs more heels, and I do not think anyone really wants to see an Edge and Christian feud in 2023.
Overall, good show. But I am exhausted with all these big shows lately, and this one felt like a noticeable drop in quality from the last. Need some breathing room, and some editing down of actual matches, and match times (I'm looking at you FTR)
