Fun PPV tonight. Outside of the taint of MJF vs. Cole, it was a great show from top to bottom.

Fuck Meltzer, here's my ratings with none of that Meltzer extended scale bullshit.

Ospreay vs. Fletcher - 5/5
Okada vs. Ricochet - 4/5
Thunder Rosa vs. Mariah May - 3.5/5
MJF vs. Cole - 1.5/5
Takeshita vs. Hobbs - 4.5/5
Mercedes vs. Statlander - 5/5
Ospreay vs. Okada - 5/5
Moxley vs. Hangman vs. OC vs. Jay White - 3.5/5

Very good ppv, not a fan of the continued endings of these Mox matches lately though. I liked it when he was going out there and simply outclassing people to have them bring their A game and now it's turning into constant interference.

Happy to see the roster have major players healing and returning. Let's start up that main event huge Ospreay push to start the new year.

Why is Edge doing this?

So a big time exWWE guy came out to attack Mox in defense of AEW?

With FTR no less? What? What am I missing?

Guess FTR are leeching Edge now? FTRunners are a thing of the past?

FTR and Edge are best friends in real life, apparently have been for years. They all bought houses near each other in Asheville, NC as well. They were playing that up heavy at the scrum and telling their history together.

Edge wasn't doing anything in defense of AEW, FTR caught a nasty beating from Death Riders on Collision a couple weeks ago and last week they teased bringing in backup for their fight against Death Riders at Fight for the Fallen in Asheville.

Reddit is saying Mercedes vs. Statlander was the first ever AEW women's match to go over 20 minutes, clocking in at 24:35. The next longest women's match in AEW history was the last Mercedes vs. Statlander match at 19:23. They delivered both times, so it's cool they got the ball to run with.

Good show tonight. Don't think I enjoyed it as much as the rest of you, but definitely enjoyed it.

The women delivered, but I thought Monet/Stat was a decent step down from their last match. And I am honestly tired of May's "oponent of the month" thing, all so we can get May/Storm in Australia. It has just been lazy, and the matches have suffered because of it.

MJF vs Cole was piss average as we all expected. Words cannot express how much I hope this is over, though I have no idea where anyone goes now.

Takeshita/Hobbs was exactly what it was supposed to be. Big meaty men slapping meat!

Title match was fine, but really did not need all the interference. Edge and FTR is a solid way to go moving forward, and I like the potential of Edge going for the world title with Christian having the title shot thing.

The CC matches were all great, especially the Ospreay ones. Omega returning is also awesome to see.

But this brings me to my biggest question of the whole thing. What is the point of the tournament? You go through this whole months long tournament to crown the champion, but then after that it is a regular belt that anyone can challenge for? It makes no sense, nor has it ever.

But oh well, if it gives me any combo of Ospreay/Omega/Okada, I am cool with it.

THIS WHOLE STORYLINE MAKES NO SENSE

These guys were all in masks wreaking havoc on the locker room and destroying people a year ago and never got a single bit of comeuppance. I remember them throwing Bowens through a glass window.

Now they're babyfaces standing tall together.

I'd love for somebody on AEW TV to make it make sense.
The fans don't know how to react either and then Excalibur with the retarded line of "well Adam Cole is the real winner here"

Both of these guys are busted open and I feel like they haven't actually done anything of note to each other.

Like.....do something if you want color.

Feels like their match is sucking so bad, they just carved their heads open to actually seem like something is happening.
Yeah, no blood in Hobbs v Takeshita and they felt like they beat the shit out of each other

All I gotta say about Okada v Ospreay is... Peak Okada. Peak Ospreay. Peak wrestling
