AEW AEW CXXVI: BUSINESS Is About To HURT

Did they just put Ricochet vs Ospreay as an opening match of Dynamite? Really? The same guy that got his mouth full criticizing WCW and his business model.

I know I’ve mentioned watching a bit of Stardom and Maika being one I’ve enjoyed watching.. I see you, mole.

Hurt Business was one of the few bright spots of covid era RAW, I was a big fan of them, quit watching WWE around the time they broke them up. I popped big a few times like when 20 unnamed Retribution NPC's were destroying everything and then The Hurt Business music hit or when The Hurt Business took over RAW Underground. Just watched the clip of them on RAW Underground and popped when Cool Hand Ang was the guy to jump in against Lashley. Swerve also on the side hyping up Mace to fight and then getting beat up <lmao>

If hurt business reunites I’ll actually give AEW a chance again

Not the first time Tony had a PPV main event that he gave away for free. Won't be the last, either.

Ricochet has spent his entire 20 year career as a lower mid carder, not even an upper mid carder. Even on the indies before WWE he wasn't a main eventer. How is he all of a sudden a PPV main eventer? <lmao>

It's funny when Frank memes about it, but are people actually upset when wrestling companies don't make them pay money to see wrestling matches?

Are wrestling fans conditioned for abuse or something? Like not only do they not want free good wrestling matches, they actually get upset and bash the company for not making them pay for a good match <lmao>

Thought this week's Dynamite was largely there. Mixed bag stuff. The show was ridiculously long. Burned out by the main event.

Mox video package was good.

Ricochet vs Ospreay was fine. Sure it will be mighty polarising for many reasons.

MVP and Mercedes might have potential. Just keep her away from the mic.

Jericho/Briscoe thing was lame. Jericho rehashing all his terrible storyline ideas.

Darby video was good.

Hangman vs Juice was long. So, so long.

It will take a Herculean effort from Jay White for me to care about him again.

Britt vs Deeb was good. More Queen Aminata please.

Hook garbled something.

They set up a women's ppv world title match with a straight out of 2009 Knockouts/Divas segment.

Private Party. A no good segment. Straight out of the WWE playbook. Groan inducing.

Shelton Benjamin's sole career highlight was getting superkicked by Shawn.

Main event was largely there. I really don't need to see this match again.

I liked the opening BCC promo, Rico vs. Ospreay, Hangman vs. Juice, and Okada vs. Danielson

Jericho and Britt Baker can fuck off though. It sucks both of them will have a regular segment weekly. Surrounding the good stuff I like.

I still like both Private Party and Wheeler Yuta. AEW really has to finally decide if they're gonna run with Private Party or not though, they've heated them up several times just to almost instantly cool them down. Either run with them, make them permanent job guys, or get rid of them. This weird thing where they're hot for awhile, job guys for awhile, hot for awhile, job guys for while is getting old and they also keep turning them between heel and face more often than Big Show in WWE. Pick a lane for these guys and stick with it.

Hopefully this means Yuta's "I'm a big boy now" shit is over. He's either an actual threat to the BCC or if he turns on Bryan he's an equal member in the BCC and no longer their young boy.

Hope AEW can find some buildings this size in other cities. This is the same amount of people they put in those big ass NBA and NHL arenas, but this looked so much better on TV last night. They actually got to use much more camera work last night, just looked over all way better than when they gotta keep the camera angles to one corner of the arena. 4000 people in a small building > 4000 people in a massive building.
