Hollywood Haley J wasn't allowed to try out for WWE cause she has epilepsy. Tony Khan be like "let's put her on live national TV" <Lmaoo>

Has or had?

Because I had petit-mal epilepsy from bought to thirteen, and it still causes problems when doing my medical, at thirty six...

Didn't make the Armed Forces because of it either...

House of Black disrupted the entire episode! What's the direction for Full Gear?

BCC vs House of Black
Black vs Danielson
Kings of Black Throne vs FTR vs Starks and Bill vs BCC
HOB and Starks/Bill vs BCC and FTR

She said she has epilepsy and her own doctor wouldn't clear her when WWE asked her for a medical clearance from her doctor. She then said she's in the process of finding another doctor to get a 2nd opinion because she hasn't had a seizure in 4 years.

WWE wouldn't let Saraya get back in the ring despite several doctors clearing her, I could definitely see why WWE was cautious in letting Haley J try out if her own doctor won't clear her.

Hope she stays safe, my mom had epilepsy and would sometimes go years without having a seizure also, but when they would hit they would hit hard. My mom also wasn't taking bumps in a wrestling ring lol

My god, what a rubbish episode of Collision. Painfully bad. AEW's decline has been sad to see. They do have all the necessary elements to turn things around.

Bryan vs Andrade was fine. Probably the best thing on the show.

Skye Blue looked good. About all I can say for that.

Gunns squashed the jobber team. At least I didn't have to hear a Jay White promo.

That fucking Jarrett match went on for an eternity. The most anticlimactic ending as well. Dreadful.

Andretti vs Miro was another long match.

Rush is angry. He needs to come back proper and kick ass already.

Did Eddie blade for that stupid Jarrett match?

The absolute state of that one jobber with the Hogan 'tache vs FTR.

Samoa Joe vs Tony Nese. Fuckin' lol.

That Dynamite 6 man with the Hardys and the Elite can die in a fire. I saw on Twitter that the match between Santana and Ortiz is happening on Rampage. Incredible.

Tag title main event went another eternity. A needless burial of Ricky afterwards. What the fuck was that?

Yes to it all

Well done as always, Max. I think the best thing for AEW would just be for Tony to get the hell out of the way. Its obvious that the long term vision isn't there, and now that the "4 first champions" have passed its clear to see there isn't much direction. Did he do some stuff right at first? Yeah, I can't deny that, but it aint hard when you have all the pieces. Where else before could you see most of these guys on TV? How would the big names like Jericho look outside of WWE, etc...

His blessing is he has enough money to float him through his short comings.

He won't, though. They're his toys, and he doesn't want anyone else to play with them.

The smartest thing he could do is to hire an experienced booker to teach him how to do it. The real problem is that he's doing it by himself (which is his right, it's his company) and he doesn't know how to do it. AEW has all the ingredients needed to be a huge success, but his inexperience and unwillingness to learn are his Achilles heel.

I pray to all the deities that there is absolutely no truth to this and Meltzer is just making shit up.

What "experienced booker" exists in professional wrestling that could teach him to book a 2023 style of pro wrestling? There hasn't been a "booker" in major professional wrestling promotion in decades. He gonna call up 81 year old Ole Anderson? Should he make amends with Jim Cornette who every time he got the book in a promotion he sank it? Who are these mythical "experienced bookers" I keep reading about on the internet that Tony Khan should bring in?

He's also not doing it all himself. He has guys like Bryan Danielson, Jimmy Jacobs, Pat Buck, Christopher Daniels, Dean Malenko, Jerry Lynn, Sonjay Dutt, Jeff Jarrett etc. helping with creative. Guys like Jericho, Omega, Moxley etc. have all been known to get creative input on their own storylines as well.

AEW has good shows more often than not, a mid episode of Collision and there's always a bunch of hot takes about "bookers need to take over" lol relax

Please don't cite Jericho and Moxley as good examples of creative input.

Thinking about this "booking" topic that gets brought up every week with AEW and has been brought up now for years with WWE. I honestly can't think of a single time in my 36 years of being a wrestling fan where a pro wrestling promotion was more than 75% good on a regular basis. Every promotion since I've been alive has had good shit surrounded by a lot of bad shit.

Most of it is a lot of good with a lot of bad, but the good always outweighed the bad enough that the shows were still enjoyable. Even the supposedly "best time ever" in pro wrestling in the Attitude Era they had so much hot garbage surrounding the good stuff that was happening. WWF, WCW, ECW, etc. had so much terrible shit, but the good stuff was so good people loved the shows and still look back at that time fondly, even though if you go back and look at wrestling forums at the time it was nerds raging about how bad the "booking" was <Lmaoo><45>

I'm at a point still with AEW, like I've always been, if there's more good than bad I'll keep watching and still to this day there's more good than bad. Dynamite was dope this week, Rampage was dope this week, Collision had good matches even though the stories were weak. If AEW ever gets to a point where I find myself not enjoying it more than enjoying it I'll quit watching like I did with WWE back in 2020.

Did I? Pretty sure I was refuting you saying "Tony Khan does it all alone"

Would still like to know who these supposed "experienced bookers" are that all of the geniuses on the internet seem to know about that Tony Khan should bring in.

Does anyone share booking credit? The only person in AEW with creative input was Punk in Collision. As to who's out there? I couldn't tell you but people in the business have to know people.

Tony Khan himself has gone on record saying he has people helping him with creative and listed off names several times. Tony Khan just has final say, which is how it should be and the shows are good more often than they're bad. I criticize shitty stories all the time too, but I think they do more good than bad, I'll never pretend to be some genius that acts like Tony Khan should ditch what he's doing because 1 or 2 out of every several episodes is mid lol

Think of every promotion that has existed in the last several decades. Think of how they were booked or "written". There is literally no such thing as an "experienced booker" from a major professional wrestling promotion outside of a handful of people, Jeff Jarrett who already helps with AEW creative and even when he ran TNA he still had guys like Dusty Rhodes, Dutch Mantell, Vince Russo, Scott D'Amore etc, he was never really a "booker", he had an entire writing team, Jim Cornette who was terrible in Smoky Mountain and when he was head booker of a team in ROH it was the worst creative time in ROH history. Vince Russo is around, but the only time he was actually successful he was part of a writing team, not a head booker, when he became a head booker in WCW he helped tank the company. Konnan with AAA, but holy shit AAA is a fucking circus, I don't think you want that. Gedo with New Japan, who had a few good years, but New Japan sucks ass a lot now. Bookers don't really exist much in wrestling now days outside of indy's, Mexico, and Japan and none of those indy's, Mexico, or Japan companies run on the scope of AEW.

AEW is grabbing some of the best guys available already though who have experience in other avenues like producing and writing. Jarrett has obviously ran a promotion. Jimmy Jacobs was on WWE's writing team and was a producer in Impact. Sonjay Dutt was a producer in WWE, Dean Malenko has been a producer for 20 years between WWE and AEW. Pat Buck was a producer in WWE who got critical acclaim for the matches he produced before he asked to resign to join AEW. Jerry Lynn has been a producer for 10 years now between ROH and AEW. All of these guys have been confirmed as part of Tony Khan's creative inner circle. Tony Khan has also mentioned Bryan Danielson basically taking over the Punk role on Collision and when Danielson retires soon he already said "Saturday is Bryan's".

They have a solid squad and they make more good shows than bad, so fuck it until they start making more bad shows than good, let them cook.

All I gleaned from this is that you think Vince Russo needs to be writing with TK having final say. You oughtta be ashamed of yourself!
