AEW AEW ALL OUT 2024 Live Thread

Even Jack Perry stepped up especially in the final run of that match. He moved around quickly giving Danielson a change of pace and it was fun to see, also that final sell was a thing of beauty.

Yep, that whole thing at the end of that match was good. The only match I didn't get to see was MJF/Garcia. I watched everything else.

I would legit be okay with Swerve being out the rest of the year. When you get dentistry done and have been thrown on a brick in a match I think you've earned a few months off.

Oh let's not forget he also did framing on Hangman's body and did let Hangman do some framing on his body too. So yeah...I don't need to see Swerve for awhile.

That's a mood

Welp, wasted an hour waiting around for that.

Mark of the year Sean Ross Sapp got worked into thinking there was a backstage altercation tonight, apparently kept bringing it up all throughout the PPV and later finally admitted that it was nothing.

Amazing show. Best they have done all year.

He must be desperate for subscriptions.

My parents are visiting so this is the first AEW PPV I've ever missed I think. Seems like quite a wild one.

If you don't mind rewatching PPV's this is worth it. All the matches were worth it except for Mone/Shida. You can skip past that one but if you get a little uncomfortable with things being done to a human body then you would need to skip Hangman/Swerve.

PAC v Ospreay was absolutely incredible, right up there.

I didn't like the plastic bag on Bryan. Looked too hokey. Should have used something a bit thicker and not seethrough instead.

Swerve V Hangman is such a cool story. So intense. I was hoping for a Hangman win. Didn't like him before, he grew into himself.

Match itself was incredibly violent.

Quite enjoyed the show. Surprisingly little "meh". The only major complaint I had with it was a number of the matches grinding to a halt for "storytelling".

MJF vs Danny was fine.

Skipped the Bucks match. Doubt I missed much.

Pac vs Ospreay was very good.

Willow and Stat had a tall task and still killed it. Might have been my favourite match on the show.

Four way was good. Okada vs Takeshita is gonna be pretty sweet.

TBS match was there. No idea why they booked this match again so soon. Mercedes' finisher is the absolute shits.

Bryan vs Jack was fine. Dumb finish though. The aftermath was pretty insane. Also what's the deal with Yuta? Isn't he a trios champ? Questions!

Main event was quite the spectacle. Built very well. Pleasantly surprised there was no extended bullshit outside brawling to start. Praise allah.

Just finished watching All Out and as a casual wrestling fan who only watches major events -

*GTFO with light tubes. Nothing says 'low quality wrestling' than using light tubes. They're on the same level as cheese graters.

*Mercedes Mone's ring gear was ass. She needs to get back with her husband damn quick. And her wrestling has devolved since she left WWE, which is obviously due to a lack of activity and only working the major events.

I can appreciate that wrestling two or three times a week is too physically exhausting, but at the same time wrestling once a month is a lack of activity to keep the performance at tip-top shape.

*At this point in wrestling history fans are under the impression we've basically seen everything... so... what have we not seen? Syringes? Ummm fuck no. That was something we had not seen that I pretty sure that we wish we still had not seen.

Cinder blocks? Ummm. I REALLY hope that was a one-time deal, and the powerbomb on the cider block was..... concerning... far more concerning than the chair shot to the head. I'd fear for the for the talent that tries to top that because it could go very bad and very quickly.

I appreciate that AEW talent want to set themselves apart, but I fear that someone is going to get permanently injured and AEW will be forced regulate their talent's risky maneuvers rather than doing it willingly.

And no, I'm not queemish. I'm just not easily shocked when they're so transparently trying to be shocking. It comes off as shallow.

Not sure how common of an opinion this is, but I'm fine with chair shots to the head as long as they're occasional. No more than 2 chair shots a year for each talent.

Overall... good event.
