International Active US Air Force member self-immolates outside Israel Embassy in Washington

I was specific. You can’t think of a reason.

Now you’re asking me to prove a negative again.

You are not a person that understands the basics of logic. You’ve demonstrated that clearly. Do not pretend that that drives your reasoning anymore.
no YOU made the claim but you had not thought it through. you assumed data you don't have.... here I mean the data of 7 billion peoples present understanding and how that could not change after hearing this story without it being a logical fallacy. this was a colossally arrogant thing to do obviously.

now you are called out and cant think of a way to prove a claim you made about the thought processes of 7 billion people. you made the claim but now realize how hard that is to defend. you can see how wrong you are now but cant admit that so you are back to lying about my position which was only that YOU cannot know that anybody who changes their position due to this mans sacrifice has committed logical fallacies.

is this really the best you can do? I'll give you one last chance to defend the position you have kept claiming is right.

Yeah.

Third fallacy: burden of proof. The silver lining is that you’re learning a lot from me tonight.

@Blayt7hh yes you do have the burden of proof but since you have not thought about it AT ALL you literally cant even come up with a principle that would apply to 7 billion people. but its ok man. nobody could.... then again... most people would not make the claim you did.

Yeah. I’m sure even as you wrote this tripe you knew it wasn’t going to sound good.

Look up burden of proof, proving a negative. Then figure out how you fucked up so can avoid looking less stupid in the future.

I’m going to bed now. If you can’t figure it out tonight with Google then feel free to message me and maybe I’ll guide you on your assignment. But I’m sure you’ve got this. After all you’re a self proclaimed logical and philosophical man.

you made a direct claim man. YOU have the burden of proof. how can you not know this? I thought you were a logic guy? this is pretty pathetic of you.

I stated that that reasoning was a logical fallacy. I named the fallacy.

You’re now saying that someone out in the whole wide world could certainly prove me wrong. Obviously that person is not you. Goodnight. Do your homework

what reasoning? be specific. there are ONLY 7 billion people to cover lol. its YOUR burden of proof.

@Blayt7hh

You have the burden of proof since you made the claim but here is a refutation.

I know you are struggling so I'm going to help out. I dont think I should be doing your work for you though because its basic work you should have already done for a guy so certain about a thing...

a girl raised in a right wing bigoted household has only heard one side of the story but because of this sacrifice she reads up more and changes her position.

a boy raised by left wing progressives is taught that its a genocide and that the Jews are totally wrong. this man immolates himself sparking a genuine curiosity in the subject that leads to a more nuanced view and she comes to see both sides.

a boy in india who didn't even know about this issue AT ALL hears about this sacrifice... becomes moved by and and then educated about it and comes out with an opinion.

someone who has already looked into it is MOVED emotionally by this sacrifice and thinks "maybe I better think more about this" and the sacrifice lessens pride and arrogance due to the gravity of it. he thinks about the subject more emotionally neutral. in fact he did not even recognize that emotion was a part of his initial position until the sacrifice knocked it out of him. but now his position is changed deeply from coming in more neutral and taking the situation more seriously all sparked by this mans sacrifice..

a woman with a fixed position is moved by the sacrifice and although her position is the same she is sickened by the way people discuss it and the lack of depth, empathy or even basic human caring going on around the subject. she was part of that callousness but is deeply changed by his sacrifice changing not her position but the entire way she carries herself and speaks about the subject. she is changed deeply by this and becomes interested in the concept of sacrifice for the greater good and goes on to emulate this principle in her life and becomes a saint.

need I really go on man? because I could go on all night.....

good riddance. All the other pro-hamas folks should do the same.
Very very weak chain of logic. Pathetic actually. Just because someone is against mass slaughter of civilians, which has widely been called excessive and genocidal, does not make them Hamas supporters. He was willing to die rather than live with the guilt of complicity in this.

One can and should be against mass civilian deaths and against terrorists at the same time, which anyone with a working conscience is.

Lol......Gaza population increased from it's original 750,000 to where it is now due greatly to Palestinians being displaced from other areas and forced into Gaza as they had nowhere else to go.

You might want to know the reasons before you present stats in such a blatantly misleading fashion.

It would be like calculating the Jewish population increase in certain ghettos during world war 2 as evidence that ethnic cleansing, displacement and genocide weren't taking place.

he actually had his reddit found where he was pro hamas, likening them to freedom fighters, explicitly not condemning but justifying the October 7th attacks and noted that Hammas was justified attacking Israeli civilians and visiting tourists and said that the reaction to the attack on the music festival was 'pearl clutching'.

The guy also mocked the deaths of the three soldiers that died in in Jordan. This post was in a ACAB subreddit. He wore the uniform to provoke, not because he still believed in the military, he explicitly posted how the police and military needed to be disbanded/disarmed.

too much time on the anarchist subreddits and watching breadtube, it broke the guy. Can't say it was the service that broke him, he was just serving as an IT guy and living in the US.

however, putting him aside, I agree generally with your sentiment, that multiple things can be true at once, including being against Hamas and not wanting dead kids in Gaza.

Need to see verification of all these claims, I would expect there is an attempt to tarnish him and paint him as the above rather than being just a military man who objected to the civilian casualities

I posted his reddit account earlier in the thread with an excerpt, everything else I said is easily searchable via comments and posts.

10 year old account, 13k comments/posts, former Air Force subreddit posts, lots of IT and gaming, decolonising, lots of anarchism and ACAB posts.

Redditors found it by looking at the previous account name for the twitch account he posted his suicide from. Before long, I expect all of this will become public knowledge if people continue to push him as a martyr.

His twitch account had references to anarchism, as did his facebook account in which he joined anarchism groups. I am extremely confident it's him and that they are right.

He died because he had mental problems, not because he was a hero. This is from his reddit: "There are no Israeli "civilians" or tourists who have no part in the oppression of Palestine".
At least, unlike other “anti-colonial” Americans, he was consistent, I mean the land he lived on was stolen from the natives after all. Good riddance.
