News Abu Dhabi set for first-ever UFC women's title fight

why wouldnt they have this title fight as a co-main for a Brazilian event? makes no sense to have it in the middle east. Virna is native Brazilian and Dern is part Brazilian.

Will volunteer to give Miss Dern a lift to and from the fight location.

Somehow Miss Dern is allowed to fight, but you know driving a car is off limits.

They've had WMMA fights on the main card before in the UAE, so it's not really groundbreaking.

The UAE and even Saudi Arabia are rapidly becoming more progressive. We don't really pay attention to it, but there is a power struggle in the muslim world between the Western aligned nations (Saudi, UAE, etc.) and the Axis of Evil aligned Muslim countries controlled by Iran (backed by China/Russia/North Korea).

You have never been to Dubai or UAE nobody is covered literally speaking both local or foreign since it is all warm 12 month a year dress and nakedness is much more frequent then anywhere in the US except maybe Miami being the only exception

Although I believe you are responding to satire, the fight is actually in Abu Dhabi which is much more conservative than Dubai.

In the Western owned hotels you can get alcohol and see women in bathing suits but anywhere else things are much more restricted. Their non-tourist markets even have certain hours when only women can shop.

For the first time ever, a women’s championship belt will be on the line in the Middle East. Brazilian stars Virna Jandiroba and Mackenzie Dern will clash for the strawweight title in what promises to be a fierce, history-making fight.
The two already have unfinished business in Abu Dhabi – Dern beat Jandiroba here back at UFC 267 – and both fighters have gone from strength to strength since.

Bet everyone there is super excited… 😆

Its like if Sage Northcutt fought Rosas for a title. She literally looks like Rosas twin

Surprised she doesn't have to wear a burka during her walkout.
