Do you believe him?

His knees haven't been good his entire career. He supposedly doesn't run at all and just does machines for cardio.

We are acting like the guy can barely walk but he's had the same problem his entire career. He just doesn't want to put any more abuse on his knees and knows he's going to have to get surgery after MMA and that it will be career ending once that happens. DC did the same thing.

Just tell everyone what was actually said and the questions stop. His answer tells me something happened.

I think he's telling the truth because if he was actually hurt he is going to look like the biggest clown when its over after he has called people stupid, dumb, gullible and lying to click-bait.

Well his knees seem great in this video so maybe he's telling the truth and not just trying to save a big ticket fight that the UFC needs to look legit?

I'm convinced!

Also, he didn't say "how could you guys have heard me say something I never said??"

He said "how could you hear over all the noise - maybe you should doubt what you heard" - ummm..... I feel the answer is obvious - "it was recorded"

Lol. He's a company man through and through and I can only respect his warrior spirit. Salute, Usman - you are not a guy who looks for a way out.
He is making sure he gets paid thats all, TJ Dillashaw showed us how.

Are you all fucking deaf apart from retarded?

"I’m gonna go with cosmo"

I pop my shit all teh time too, sometimes I literally have to pop me knee out before it feels normal

but I don't accidently pop my knee, stand up weird on it, and proceed to shake it out and then change my activity to something else
That's okay, because he didn't stand up weird/different on it than he usually does, he didn't shake it out, and he moved on to something else because they had always planned on moving to something else. That's what they do for these public/PR training demos.

What did he move on to, by the way? Throwing KNEES into the heavy Muay-Thai pads. Both knees, switching stances.

everybody knows that if you pop a ligament the best thing to get it back in place is explosive movements

flying knees are literally the first thing doctors recommend

"Whoever started this" says usman when it was his own constant crying about his knees in the build up to every fight that made the public aware in the first place.

I agree with Marty in this one, these stupid sites will do anything for clicks and likes and it's getting annoying.

Funny how fans are pushing excuses on him even if he goes this far to deny them.
he's protecting his assets, if he knee is injured, there is no fight, he loses a lot of money.

he's a prize fighter and his paydays are dwindling down.

I feel like if it was fake news there would be no reason to address it?

A lil Icy Hot and he will be good as new

I considered Justin's concerned look along with the way he immediately said "You alright?" very sus. I also consistently heard the word pop from Usman whenever I played the clip. I mean what else could explain the short "o" sound? He definitely wasn't saying "I'm good" or whatever. Not to mention the way Kamaru gets up from the takedown.

But then Gaethje came out with the narrative of how Usman said something like "I'm gonna go with Cosmo"... and now I can't hear anything else except "Cosmo" when playing that clip rather than "pop". FYI, he's talking about Cosmo Alexandre, a high-level boxer, kickboxer, and MMA fighter who was there holding pads for Usman and is a training partner of his. Kamaru does indeed go and start working with him right afterward, so... maybe this all was overblown. Or maybe it was just a genius cover by Justin that worked on me and Kamaru really did say "pop".

Or maybe the truth is somewhere in the middle and Usman did feel something -- even mildly alarming -- during the flow-wrestling exchanges that tweaked in his knee and decided to call it quits to be safe before moving to the striking.
