I’m sure he’s under some big contract with Bellator but I’d like to see him take the next step up and come to the UFC. He’s got the experience now and still has plenty of room to improve. Could you see him doing well in the UFCs featherweight division?

Like to see Pico make the move. That chin is a big question mark though. Maybe give him a guy ranked in the twenty something to see where he is at.

The UFC won't gradually let him grow. They'll throw him in deeper waters. He's well rounded enough to win some fights there but he's a glass cannon and would falter at some point against better competition. I'm sure he'll make it exciting though.

nope.

far far too smug and thinks he is 2nd Coming of Christ (in MMA terms).

and...he is not.

He should come over after winking the belt at Bellator at least once. So he can ask for big money up front

Looked up his record. Bro, his win streak is a bunch of no wiki guys. I'm not sure.

Bellator didn't exactly let him grow either, he fought guys way more experienced than him and proven at a pretty high level. Someone like Sage Northcutt got much easier fights in the UFC than Pico has in Bellator.

Not necessarily on the matchup part, now. Initially, I agree. Pico got guys they thought he would stylistically style on despite the experience difference. Then once they realized he was behind where they thought he was, they adjusted and gave him easier competition.

As for Sage, he and O'Malley who almost outright refuses to fight better fighters, are outliers. The UFC has a tendency to throw prospects into the fire with regularity. Bellator let's guys like MVP, Pico and others coast for ages in cupcake match-ups. The UFC has burned many guys with promise pushing them too hard.

I haven't seen his recent fights has he fixed his issue of getting wild and leaving himself wide open with his chin out?

He's under contract with Bellator so it's a non-starter for now, they've invested in him over the years and won't let him leave mid-contract even if he wanted to (there's nothing to suggest he does).

He asked to be matched up hard straight away. In retrospect they should probably have overruled him though.
