Meanwhile MMA's actual second coming of Christ is already in the UFC.

I haven't seen his recent fights has he fixed his issue of getting wild and leaving himself wide open with his chin out?

A good bit.

I'd still say too much of his game relies on his athleticism as opposed to technique and overall fight IQ, but that takes time.

He was hilariously undersized to debut at 155lbs, he's an average to smallish featherweight today. He still opens up a bit and throws some hammers, but with a lot more wrestling and generally keeps his hands up.

This is why there is an amateur system and a good manager/team is important. His career mishaps could have been largely avoided.

I think he's UFC bound before 30, maybe another few years.

Why should he join the UFC? He’s been fighting bums and gotten KTFO by some. He may have evolved but he has a lot to prove and it makes no sense for him to join the UFC now. Bellator is probably paying him quite decently and I have a hard time seeing the UFC matching whatever he gets paid until he has made a name for himself.

Pico hasn't fought any bums, he has mostly fought guys that are far more experienced than himself.

As for Sage, he and O'Malley who almost outright refuses to fight better fighters, are outliers. The UFC has a tendency to throw prospects into the fire with regularity. Bellator let's guys like MVP, Pico and others coast for ages in cupcake match-ups. The UFC has burned many guys with promise pushing them too hard.

I think this is especially guys coming over from Bellator.
