News Aaron Pico is now a free agent.

The ufc has really gotten away from paying top dollar for stars of other organizations these days and leaned into finding their own talent with contender series and TUF..

But this guy they should make an exception for. He checks all the boxes to be a big name in the ufc for a long time.

Tbf last year was their biggest in a while in terms of signing big names with MVP, Kayla, RDR and Asakura.

Yeah that’s a good point, Picos story serves as a warning for those after him. Dude still has plenty of time, id love to see him do well in the UFC.
 
Hopefully UFC starts snagging some of these top guys that are complaining about lack of fight in PFL/Bellator. But knowing how cheap the UFC can be I doubt it
 
Such a mismanaged career. Can't believe he's already pushing 30. Time flies.

He really is incredibly talented. Would love to see him in the UFC. Shame he never got the title in Bellator. Or even a title fight. Minus the fight where his shoulder got dislocated, he must have about 10 wins in a row now.

I don't think he is. I just think it'll be a good test fight to see if Pico is for real in the UFC. Caceres is too high level for most prospects but I think Pico is past that stage of his career now.
 
He needs co main a ppv agsinst Erik Silva . The battle for #1 prospect potential- there can be only one
 
For all the shit people give Dana and the UFC, you guys want Aaron Pico to sign with the UFC for 20k/20k? Some people on here are hypocrites.

Who said we want Pico to make 20/20. If they sign him he will make a lot more than that because PFL would gladly match that offer sheet.

I doubt Aaron Pico is re signing with PFL, with the way PFL has been icing fighters who were getting “paid” by Coker’s generosity there not really having a good reputation at the moment. On average named fighters who sign with the PFL are making 50k/50k or 100k and a chance at that 1 mil. PFL last big signing and pay out is Ngannou, PFL is going to shell out 750k like they did on Pettis for Pico.

UFC will probably offer 70k/70k.

how so? when did he peak exactly? he was 4-3 at one point in his career. he hasn't peaked yet imo, but as I've said before, he needs to get moving because time waits for nobody. 2-3 years is about all he has left of his absolute peak.
