I'm not sure whats up with my deadlift. I've gone from six singles at 365 to not being able to get it past my knees in about a month. Last week was bad, today was worse. I'm not so sure that I'm just not able to do heavy squats and deads in one week. Or at least lift twice in 12 hours(overhead the night before) There were a few other outside factors on todays workout but nothing that should have prevented me from several 365 pulls. If things don't turn on my next work out I'll deload and come back with something dif. I did manage to salvage some volume. The front squats were just for giggles and to clear my mind. On top of that my hands ache for no good reason.

My wife has finally lost enough weight that she has just about gotten down to the size of that plus sized model. It's nice, but 20 more lbs off would suit me just fine.

Just sharing how much of a jerk I am as I sit here with my beer belly.
 
Sounds like you may be overtraining - how's your sleep and nutrition (especially pre/post-WO protein/carbs)?

The difference between chin-up and pull-up is the grip. Chin-ups are supinated/underhand and pull-ups are pronated/overhand. Pull-ups are generally considered more functional, especially for cops (see: pulling yourself over a fence, wall, etc.). However, if you have trouble with either, try starting out with a neutral grip (palms facing each other).

Well at least we are still about the same in the deadlift then.
 
Well after carefull reveiw I've decided to go head and de-load on my next dead day(sunday/Monday) of some 70% singles. Then I'll come back after that using a truer 385 to figure my percentages. I'm pretty sure that a month of 95%+ singles took there toll and I just need to reset a hair. I am also going to be reducing my intensity on squats til I get a handle on my deads.

Most of my nutriation and sleep schedule have not changed in the last 3 months, so I'm leaning towards just some overtraining. My other thougth is that Grappling was actaully porviding me some active recovery benifits that I'm not getting now. But I understand little on how active recovery functions. IF any one has an article in layman's terms post me a link.

I'm taking til friday or saturday off completely but may fit grip in as my hands feel better today.

and for all the doubters, I just did a Bodyweight + 25lbs of gear chin x 2 on a strange ring loopy thing that passes for monkey bars on new child safe playground euipment. It forced me to place my hands like 6" apart and was uncomfortable as hell but I did it. May in fact add them in if I can figure out where.
 
That picture that foz posted makes coming to this log just...just so great.
