Not exactly. The idea is to use heavy assistance in the place of doing actual deads. Right now I'm feeling out doing deads every 8-9 days, where I was deadlifting at least every 4. I also stopped doing the heavy singles progression that I have been on for quite some time and dropped to a much less intense triples based program.

I'm hoping that the increase in volume and the targeted assistance will help move my deads in lieu of actaully doing heavy deads. So thats where the not doing deads to get stronger at deads comes from.

The last two sessions of heavy assitance has fried my hams, glutes and lower back. But a day or two later I've felt ready to hit it again. Where when I was deadlifting I was drained for a lot longer time after. I still think that my upper back is where some of my trouble lies and is holding back my deads and my bench. I've fit in the BOR but at the present haven't worked up to anything I'll call heavy assistance.

In time I may work to the point where I'm only doing actaul deads every 12 to 16 days although I will probably fit some pratice pulls(50-60%) in here and there. Like I said right now I'm trying 8 day turnaround for the actaul lift. Also you will notice I am still pulling 90+% once each session. I just can't talk myself out of doing a heavy single. Of course 90% is pretty much a effortless lift for me. I don't really feel the weight til closer to 95%.

Getting stronger at the deadlift by not deadlifting? Worked for me. My advice to you is get ready to do lots and lots of goodmornings. Lots.

A little slow today through my Rep sets. But 425 was pretty effortless. Grip is taking a beating and I may need to address it directly. Not weak just painful and some swelling.

Not sure whether to add reps.or weight next session. Would be five doubles at 385 if I add weight. Would be 365*3*7 if I add reps. May also hit 435 before set work.

Overall really can't be too upset as I added 3 reps to my work sets and +10 to my single

Bench went easy. Presses were tough. Had somethere to tape deads so I did some easy singles. 2 kinds of curls and a dip PR for the jaktness. Added 3 reps to nor. Will keep adding a Rep a set til I can't anymore.

A graphic reprentation of my new assistance program

As long as we don't get graphic representations of your "heavy sets" i'm okay with this.

I think I did that one time and people did not enjoy it as much as I did.

I felt the need to do something but didn't want to push real hard. Hadn't done db lifts in awhile so I did some. I'll call it active recovery.

NOTES

BW 214

Another had to fit two workouts into one day. Was actaully going to do overhead first but voted to do squat. I wasn't happy with the way my general ouchyness was at 335 so I called it a day and focused on my assistance. I tried to sleep on a dif mattress last night(temperpedic) and tossed and turned all night. Probably won't do that again. I've been playing with heavier KB swings and 70 feels alot heavier than 50. About 140% heavier. I'll build them up til I get one set with 50 then the rest with 70 over time.

Bench went OK and the 285 was probably the closest thing at that wieght I've come to comp legal. My hips may have popped up a mm or two but the pause was legit and I didn't shuffle my feet. The 7 reps at 245 sets were hard. Pretty sure 245x10 falls if I do it fresh instead of after some heavy singles. Like I said I was going to do overhead of some sorts but didn't want to.

BOR was one more rep per set than last session. I got some back pumps during this for an unknown reason. SLDL was rougher than it shoudl have been but my gas tank was running pretty low after bench. CUrls was a 100lb PR I think. I'd like to keep adding a rep to them when I can but I may have to drop the weight and really add to the reps to get where I want in time. Skipped dips since bench fried my tris.

I fixed this a hair.

I would really like to be able to do 100x10 at some point cleanly. My little bird arms just don't have it in them at the moment.

One armed right ?

finally some respect for a truly important PR

With anyone else I would say that you need either to do Smolov 100% Amazingness McAwesomeville 2000++, or my new High Calibre Guns programme. But I know that you do secret, ultra-effective curling programmes designed by Olympic coaches, NASA scientists and the Skynet computer out of the Terminator movies. So I would imagine that while my curl programming is pretty cutting-edge, yours is light years ahead of mine.

its a well known fact that I don't actually post the real curling I do. The NSA forbids it in case terrorists get ahold of it and become uber strong over throwing the US and all other foregin goverments. I only post token lifts that have been approved by the Office of Homeland Security.

But the idea of the HCG program appears to have merit. Although everytime I see HCG I think your hammering PCT from a cycle.

With spring being at least 5 months away on this half of the earth, I think its time to think about a rarity in this log, AZN swimsuit models
