They won't. Wild animals are put down if they are deemed problematic- ie, they lose their natural fear of man and approach humans. This bison was minding its own business on its turf and it was the humans who hassled it. All it did was clear its immediate area from pests.

I work in a zoo and know more about animals and their natural behaviors, it doesn’t need to be put down. This is what happens when people are stupid, this literally happens every year because of dumb tourists.

No you do not need to put the animal down in an attempt to send people a message that 'don't worry the animal that attacked dead now so you have nothing to worry about'.

You need to do the exact opposite and show this video and post signs in the open that this bison is still out there and that you (the visiting people) must not assume they are domestic animals and most keep safe and respectful distances at all times.

Your way almost ensures more incidents like this and the next time a death.

People are increasingly stupid around wild animals looking for selfie moments of pictures 'as close as they can get' and then blame the animals when they act like animals.
