8K physical media

In vegas with Cox I think it’s 1TB a month. But you can pay more to have unlimited. And Cox is the top dog in Vegas.
Wow. What speed do you get? That sounds like something we had 20 years ago

I've found recently that despite my AVR having 4k passthru, it won't recognize that if run the Xbone through it

so i run the HDMI straight to the TV to get 4k picture, and then digital optical back to the AVR for sound. The only issue i can't pass through true HD audio that way (DD HD, or DTS HD), but have to bitstream it and add processing at the receiver

Pretty annoying

What speed is that? Down/up. Delivered by copper or fiber? Price?
Pretty sure fiber. I got the 99 dollars a month deal but I think after a year it goes up. I have internet only nothing else. Speeds are supposed to be

download- 940Mbps
Upload- 35Mbps

But, what are they actually?

Lol prob less than half on a good day. When I update steam games I get around 20-30 MegaBytes per second.

Xbone sucks. Interface, load times, freezing - it’s just a crappy experience. I bought it for $150 brand new and still regret it. Now it makes sense why PS4 kicked its ass.

I have several 4K movies but I actually still prefer my 1080p PS4 because I can get lossless sound. With 4K through XBox, I’m in the same boat as you and can only get lossy.

Also screw companies forcing you to buy new equipment to get “4K” feature because of “copyright” issues.

Has anyone actually seen 8K? Is there a huge difference at this point?

THe Delta lounge at LAX has a 100" display (or something like that) that is 8K. They had a short video clip on loop. Looked pretty impressive but who has a 100" home screen?

Inb4 projector crew.

That doesn´t sound like it´s a fiber connection.

Here i can get 1000/1000 Mbit/s fiber connection (guaranteed minimum speed of 900/900) + security package + MESH router setup + running updates on all hardware + streaming service + 100GB online storage for 72$/month with no data cap

Yeah it must not be. I know in some areas they are building homes in Vegas now they are putting in fiber.

CenturyLink by any chance?
I've got a similar deal with their Fiber Gigabit deal with 940 Mbps. It's awesome.
