It can be an advantage, but isn't dispostive. Fighters will use the tools that they have. Historically wrestlers have been shorter, thicker men who use their lower center of gravity to their advantage (think Hughes, Cormier). Taller, lankier fighters like the Diaz brothers, Condit and McGregor will focus more on striking, though it is not true across the board.

The obession with height on this board is ridiculous.
