In real time I thought maybe it was suspect but on the replay from behind Goddard, those punches I thought were missing or grazing were landing flush. With 2min and 59sec left in the round, Goddard probably saved Izzy to fight another day.

I don't really agree. It seemed like Izzy was never really comfortable when Alex was landing his stuff. Like Alex had the power the whole time Izzy was just doing a really good job at either clinching immediately or retreating

and then Alex caught him and Izzy couldn't clinch and was really fucked up
