People forget that Silva looked amazing against guys who weren't strikers (save for Vitor Belfort who isn't great by today's standards) and who overcommitted horribly. Silva also couldn't lead, he was 100% counters and when his opponent gave him little to counter, he ended up in some very boring, uneventful fights (sound familiar?)

If it was a non championship fight I would totally agree with you but when the stakes are this high and you got a guy as competitive as Izzy in there you owe it to him to give him the benefit of the doubt and give him a chance to recover. In my eyes Izzy was still attempting to protect himself and should’ve been given at least a couple more seconds to see if he could get himself out of that situation.

Most of you are funny. Last week when there was truly early stoppage in Lemos-Rodriguez fight ya were saying that it was a good stoppage. Here the ref gave easy like 10 more seconds than Rodriguez had and ya saying he got robbed.
