Conor and Ronda's downfall are results of the same issue

They both came from small gyms. They both have/had trainers who never pushed them. And their gyms didn't any other top fighters beyond themselves to push them in training.

You are wrong on every account.

Ronda LEFT Gokor and Gene because they wouldn't bend backwards for her ego. She wanted a cheerleader and she found it in Edmond. Gokor is tough, he does not put up with anyone's bullshit be they famous or not. Karo left to go to Xtreme couture. It was a bad move and he went back to Gokor again. Ronda simply retired.

Conor does not want to work hard anymore. John mentioned that he wants to see Conor back to training in "nightmare camps" which he used to do but Conor felt that idiot portal movement bullshit is better than training in martial arts for MMA. He was doing great with implementing TKD/Karate in his style. All was well until he chose a gimmicky training that failed him and he became disillusioned.

Conor went up a weight class to fight bigger and stronger guys

He's still in his prime

Undefeated vs FWs but a losing record against LWs

True. But they could've bothered fixing their flaws if they weren't delusional. Well, Conor also encountered a GOAT level fighter who simply was much better than him. Ronda never bothered to learn how to strike. GSP came from a gym with no other big names but he took the trouble to learn a complete game, because his ego wasn't out of control. Notice how Firas has very few top level guys to this day, outside of Rory everyone else has been mediocre. But GSP always took care to cross train even though he was the Alpha at Tristar.

There is truth to it. When you have someone winning fights like Ronda was in less than a minute, over and over and over again you figure, fuck, just keep this girl confident, and everything will be fine. I feel like Ronda's and Brock's careers are more similar than Conor and Ronda's.

Like what would be the point of making Brock a great striker when you know what his bread and butter is gonna be. Pro boxers just outclassing him will bring down his confidence. Its too late to build this dude into a fighter from scratch, dude is in his 30s already.

Hide the negatives,accentuate the positives.

The problem w Ronda is that her camp talked too much about striking that wasnt there. That was the downfall.

Conor is still a contender. Ronda left on her own account. Kind of have to call bullshit on this thread. Sorry TS.
Conor is only a contender based on name value alone, not by why at he accomplished in the division you consider a contender. He hasn't won a meaningful fight since over half decade ago. Living in the past always will have its downfalls as you dont to grow with the times and relive those past accomplishments. Conor Mcgregor is not contender based on skills currently, it's his name value and marketing draw that is.

They both are not naturally gifted athletes. Conor gets winded after one round and Ronda she can’t learn how to box. They honestly are lucky to go that far due to the UFC hyping machine

Because mma fans would rather cheer for a dude who threatens peoples families than someone who did something as heinous and insidious as saying "dont cry"
This new breed of MMA fans might the worst yet.
