Cain was one of those fighters I respected and loved watching, but always cheered against for some reason. I don’t really know why I didn’t like him. Seems like a nice enough dude, I dunno lol.Same

I was surprised because Brock was totally dominating and controlling that fight up until that point, took Cain down twice and even landed a flying knee on him.. then that punch took it all away from him

Honestly it was before that punch. Brock took a massive breath. He was done gas tank wise. You can see it in his body language and face.

My casual friends were all in on Brock winning because of how much bigger and more jacked he was than Cain. Told them all y'all are in for a rude awakening.

Dude the pace Brock was going at, no one could keep for long. He got destroyed but it’s easy to forget he rushed Cain like a bull early. Looked scary as fuck.
It's just that Cain stopped him dead in his tracks lol

True but he also had a major surgery and was reported to not be able to train for long periods due to low energy levels.
Maybe Brocks strategy was to end it as fast as possible because he knew he only had 1 round at best to win.

I remember this being one of the most absurdly funny moments in MMA history. I was like WTF
the second twirl from Brock was so unnecessary
My first thought was, “wow Cain is on point right now and Brock is not equipped to handle this.”
The twirl was weird of course but he was rocked pretty good and trying to elude the savage follow-up shots that he knew were coming. He’d had a handful of fights and hadn’t been hurt before, he didn’t have instincts or experience to fall back on.
