- Avenge his brother Lobov?
- Lightweight belt?
- promote Proper 12?
- Delusional, really thought he had a solid chance?
All of the above?

He suffered a humiliating defeat and is the main reason his arch nemesis has 50 million in the bank.

I personally think Conor sacrificed himself solely for Proper 12.

I personally think this was all about Proper 12.

All of the above, he banked !

...because he's a fighter and a lightweight fighter at that and Khabib was the top lightweight?

"nObOdY cAn jUdGe hIm fOr LoSiNg tO kHaBiB" that's the narrative his ass kissers took. That's his reason for taking the fight. Also khabib had the belt. It's less pressure losing to the champ than to get smeshed and lose your belt that way. His indentity is dependent on his championship status... Or at least it seemed that way back then.

He's a fighter. He gets paid to fight.

They paid him to fight Khabib.

Since he's not a great fighter, he lost. But he still got paid.

He had been getting shit for ducking Khabib and Tony throughout the Mayweather farce. Prob wanted to train defensive grappling for at least another year or so but Artem got cucked on camera so he had no choice but to expedite the timeline or look like a punk.

It'd be more humiliating if he opted out of not fighting him at all.

what’s wrong with you people.

I’m not a Conor fan but he’s one of the greatest LW and FW mma fighters of all time:

his two losses were to the LW goat and the boxing goat.

Respect him.

For the lightweight belt, and properly genuinely believed he had a chance. Didn’t though.

Idk he’s a fighter and I’m guessing he wanted to fight for the belt. We can’t read the guy’s mind so we don’t know his or any other fighters true motives to taking a fight but I doubt it’s super complex.
