Four straight losses
All in embarrassing fashion

Never really was a fan, but he's a genuine dude who works hard

Somewhere along the line he became timid in his approach

The man that KOed cain and werdum was the aggressor

JDS now is thinking way too much

I think he paid so much for not changing his style or adding to his game over the years unlike what alistair did,as soon as alistair figured his chin was weak,he worked so hard to change his style also he has grappling too unlike Junior

His chin is shot. Looks good and moves well for about a round at this point then he gets touched and slept. Its just done for him. These guys' brains all say fuck it at some point.

Also I don’t know why the fuck pepole are talking about illegal shots,it’s like complaining about matt brown hitting Diego sanchez with an illegal elbow

Good point. Overeem has adapted well and changed his style to become more grapple heavy with a much worse chin.

He's done. I've always been a JDS fan for the last decade, and it's hard to watch. His defensive flaws are way more apparent, and his offense has become telegraphed and sluggish. Plus, his chin/mental game is really weak now. Time to retire and save brain cells.

To be fair....in the past few years they have lost to the same guys. Overeem got near knocked out Harris as well.

Overeem looked "ok" vs mediocre guys who Junior might beat himself.

Jnr really though I think always gave the impression of a guy who got by on natural talent for fighting a certain way, even just in terms of striking he was always quite narrow depenant on throwing those big looping shots from mid range.

Alistair always showed a more rounded game and its more the case he's shifted focus to different areas of it over the years. He's also never had beatdowns like the Cain matches, I suspect those fights probably inflicted more damage than half a dozen Reem KO loses.

Thats the danger of having great chin/heart I spose, it means you potentially expose yourself to massive damage if things go wrong, I suspect JDS now might well be better off physically if he'd been pulled out of the Cain matches after the 2rd/3rd round each time.

He lost his massive arms post usada and it shows in his performances (combined with age and damage and the man is sadly shot).
