Romero is 3 years older than Shogun. 1 year older than Rampage. Same age as Machida. He's 6 months younger than Fedor, and 1.5 years younger than Anderson.

So, he's the same age as all these fighters and he's about to be in the same organizations.

How does he do against competition his own age? Do you want to see Romero vs Fedor?

rizin or somebody needs to capitalize on it

throw in vitor in there and strictly NO drug testing

Nah dude, Romero is still in prime-ish.

All the other fighters are severely out of prime.

I'd give Fedor a shot, cause he would dwarf Yoel and Yoel has been finished before at LHW, he is not that big..... but still... Fedor is too out of prime.

Ohhh what the hell, Fedor vs Yoel, let's do this. It's Fedor after all, he might spark him.

Yoel would have to bulk up, his cardio is weak so he wouldn't have time to adapt to his new weight.

Let's do this!

WAR FEDOR!!!!!!

I love the optimism, but Fedor is sadly done. He got ko'd by a jab bro... his people should have told him to stop a long time ago for his health. :(

Machida was born in 79'. He's older than him too. Romero i believe was born in 77 and Shogun in late 81?

So Shogun did get released by the UFC? I must have missed that.

Romero destroys Fedor.....Fedor is done...his days of glory are over...he is from another era...his personality is really not for MMA because MMA is based on evolution and strategy and Fedor refused to evolve and basically had no strategy...he loved brawling and his submission skills were sharp, (quickest arm bar in the west)....but modern fighters actually have strategies that change from fight to fight. Thats why guys complain when their opponent gets injured and replaced. They train for one style then have to face another...Fedor would not have cared...he would just go in and swing. That dont work today. Plus his chin is gone, and he has lost his sense of balance and is off balance when striking.....PLEASE RETIRE FEDOR

Please no. In Romero’s last fight, he arguably beat the MW champion. Most of these guys are past their primes with cracked chins.

Bellator has plenty of guys at both MW and LHW that would put up a better fight.

“Fedor had no strategy”? Do you REALLY think he didn’t ever tailor his approach to individual fighters...? Did you SEE the Crocop fight or the third Big Nog fight?!?

Fedor didn’t ALWAYS tailor his approach to individual fighters, but he CERTAINLY did for the biggest, most dangerous fights. NO-ONE altered their strategy for EVERY opponent back then, it’s just that the MMA meta has moved on nowadays. I agree, however, that Fedor should retire, every new past-his-prime performance just gives more ammunition to the diehard Pride haters and makes the Pride Never Die fanatics more and more sad.

Romero's had about half the fights and a fraction of the wear and tear as most of those guys. He's also a (natty) genetic freak. I'd favour him in all of those fights, even Fedor who I'm a huge fan of.

Romero's chin hasn't had as much damage, but if you think Olympic-level wrestling gives you a "fraction" of wear-n-tear, you live on another planet. It's VERY hard on your back, knees, etc.
