But his denial in fighting him is not about his age. It's about Aspinall not adding anything of value since he's not (yet) a household name.

If Pavlovich, who is older, had won his fight against Aspinall and was the IC, Jones would be giving the same reasons not to fight him. (too dangerous, doesn't add value, high risk low reward)

He just wants "easy" fights from now on. Dude's on his way out.

Problem is that wherever he lands now, he'll fuck up the title situation.
