30-27 Cub?!

To be fair kawijiri did nothing with the takedown. Cub did more in the first half while they were standing and the second half he got laid on. Effective striking comes before effective grappling.

I could see it scored either way

Why the fuck should it have been split? That means you think Cub won, but think he lost at the same time. Makes no sense

Should have been 29-28 Cub.
Lol can't tell if this is some meta reverse trolling or people still fall for this

Kawajiri deserved to win that more than Demetrious Johnson deserved to beat Miguel Torres.

Do I think Cub won? Yes, but there's no way it was 30-27, should've been 29-28 Cub. Cub clearly lost the 1st rd, fights like these do make me question if there's racial bias. It does seem like many controversial decisions have gone against Asians in the UFC

Kawajiri won IMO. Clearly won the 1st. 3rd could have gone either way, edged it to Kawajiri. 2nd Cub won but should have had a point taken.

judges are racist as fuck. I've lost count how many times that shit happens when it involves an Asian fighter.
I do believe in this racism...Asian dudes always seem to lose decisions........maybe they should do what Asians taking SAT"s do so they dont get docked race points...lie about their name and race. 12568.jpg bob Simmons of cranston Rhode island

Cub quite clearly won rounds 2 & 3 so fortunately no injustice was served this time, but its fairly ridiculous two judges gave him the first round.

Third could have gone either way if we were floating off into another dimension.

Back here in reality that was not a close round.

Fixed. Seriously that's an easy 29-28 Kawajuri and I like cub. How in the hell is he ranked 5 in the world at fw...

By literally beating every single fighter put in front of him, kawajiri included, who isn't good enough to contend for the title since the ufc FW division started. You are fucking clueless.

Must've not been watching the standing exchanges. Kawajiri was landing just as cleanly.

Wish UFC could take the lead to improve on the current 10pt system. In the meantime if a round close score 10 - 10. Let judges like in Judo be able to select winner by overall performance if scores a tie. If two judges think same fighter should get the win then can award it otherwise call it a draw. Anyway appears Cub won regardless but hope these examples can help nudge reconsideration of 10pt scoring system which is ok for boxing with many more rounds.

Fans ignore terrible judging when the end result is acceptable. The whole system of judging is fucking horseshit. Who the fuck are these people anyways?

Even I scored the first for Kawajiri, so I was surprised to see 2 judges give it to Swanson. He did enough on the ground to take the round. It was a close round though. Swanson generally landed the better shots on the feet, and Kawajiri only did minor damage in mount.

Rounds 2 and 3 were both clearly Cub's.

I don't know whether he shoulda got a point deduction, but he's clearly a better fighter than Kawajiri so I'm glad he didn't.
