290 to 260

The only thing to add, is that the "pump" is crazy. It's been 2 days but my muscles still seem to be 200% than usual. Looks like not eating, than burning glycogen then overfeeding creates that.
I don't like it.
Also, I felt I ate too much. Next refeed I will be more conservative. Still, I made big progress very fast, so perhaps slowing down a bit is ok.

Day 55: 283lbs

Weird day.

Trained a bit too much.

45 minutes jogging, 15 minutes walking.
BJJ- 1 hour
Padwork - 30 minutes.

Couldn't keep up the liquid diet and crashed.

First ate a spinach/mango smoothie (planned) - 250 calories.

Had my ex and her roommate come to watch movies ( I know weird), and ended up eating noodle soup - 540 calories, 600 grams of lean ground beef - 1100 calories, 1/2 onions, 2 carrots, 1 pear - 250 calories, and a bowl of ice cream - 500 calories.

This won't put me in jepardy

Day 56: Not bad.

Exercise: 1 hour of cardio ( 30% jogging)
1 hour of light conditioning at MMA gym.
1 hour of Boxing padwork - high intensity.
30 minutes of kettlebells - high intensity.

Hamstrings feel cooked, as well as lower back... Which means I can't risk jogging tomorrow. Will do weights... I will try to hold out on liquid, if not - I will do PSMF stuff , will keep it under 1000 calories.

Diet today: Fat free yogurt - 240 cals. Lots of water and tea, broth. 200 calories of blueberries, 70 calories - 1 pear, spinach - 100 grams - 5 calories.

Woke up sick! Fck.

Day was pretty bad, just rest and around 4000 calories.

Looks like I have finally met my match -

Felt pop on last set in lower back and barely made it home. Hopefully the spine column is relatively intact since mobility is preserved, but God it hurts to get up. The KBs pre-fatigued my muscles in lower back, plus over training while not sleeping well and a messed up diet.
Putting socks on while standing is impossible. Even walking and driving is painful.
Best I can do is lie down and rest, but the funny thing is the more i walk the easier it gets.
Spine is swollen already above the place of the injury ( just an area the size of a woman's hand ).
Lets see how things go tomorrow, really hope to on a walk when i wake up.

Training: Horrific injury.
Diet: 1/2 pack dumplings - 400 calories.
mango- 400 calories
spinach- lots.
sugar - 4 tsp.
onion/carrot/pork feet cooked pan - 700.

.... Nothing but a waiting game now, but looks like no fighting this summer.

My back got worse and better at the same time. I have more mobility, but the spine kind of locked in a certain position, every time i move through that position it hurts more.

Walking hurts more for sure. I am doing stretches regularly. A relief for me is that there is no pain outside of affected area, otherwise it would mean my CNS is compromised.

Biggest relief - had a great morning wood this morning...phew.

Day 58: Recovering.

Diet- 2100 calories, however clean food.

Was able to sit up almost normally. Still... everything fcking hurts.

Recovery: Last night was walking around and sitting down/up with little pain. The swelling is definitely smaller now. My neck hurts as well from lying down in a weird way lol. This morning its hard to get up still, but at least I know its from lying down.

Going to set up an appointment with a chiro soon.

Recovery day 60: 283.0 lbs

SYSTEMS BACK ONLINE. (Even though I still have a cold )

I can walk, move, get up and even jog a little bit without pain. Of course, discomfort is present at all times, but surprised at my how fast I am recovering. I think spinach juicing and lots of walking are major reasons.

Can't wait for day 4.

Day 61: 279.5 lbs.

I think my body will enjoy this vacation from exercise. 100% honest, all my life I worked out for different sports almost every day. If I skip even a day of exercising I feel weird and awkward. Never ever went for 2 weeks without some sort of exercise.

Just realized due to poor nutrition my body was just burning out the whole time. I think this back injury might be the best thing for my getting in shape plan.

I used to have mad binges every day... it's been 4 days now, and I have 0 hunger issues while eating healthy and tasty.

279.5 is even on full stomach and some water.

Let's see how this goes.

PIC UPDATE: Just want to track my post-injury progress to see if there will be any noticeable muscle loss. If anything I will probably gain muscle mass, since now my body can finally fully repair itself.

I won't work out for a month, then slowly work my way back into MMA training. Doing weights have been nothing but trouble, and my gym strength gains did not equal str. gained in wrestling at all.

Day 61 continued: 279
ibz4oy.jpg

Training: around 2 hours of brisk walking. Some planks and push ups.
Energy really kicked in today. I feel healthier already.

Injury: Only had pain in the morning, now it is almost only a discomfort. Going to set appoinment tomorrow. Emailed my chiropractor to adjust this bitch.

Day 62: 276.5 Motherfukkers!

Officially 20 pounds lost since the middle of February when I started. Would have been 25-30 if not for finals.

So far so good... Discovering that you don't have to train like a madman to lose weight was a revelation for sure. This has been the cheapest and yet healthiest I have eaten in a while. Hope to get around 265 before the end of May. I am starting to notice the attention from opposite sex is coming back. Clothes fit much better, and size 38" is getting roomier. I do have a smaller waist - was 32 at my lowest bodyfat.
The problem is before nobody could figure out how huge I am since my waist and overall size was masked a bit by flab. Now I am starting to lean out and get perceptually bigger - that what my coaches told me - if I suddenly get to 10% I am going to look massive. Well... its neither good or bad for me, it is what it is.

Training - pleasant walking in the morning and evening. 2.5 hours - around 830 calories.

Note: Please don't bitch about my caloric intake. I try to shoot for 1500-1600 calories per day, but of course, I forget to include things like cooking oil or butter, sugar in my tea and other little things. Pretty sure I average about 1800 even though it is not shown.

Day 63: 276.2 lbs
Feeling good. Even had 15 minutes jog after walking because a storm front was approaching...I made in time before the heavy rain.

INJURY: Went to a doctor, she said that considering my range of motion, symptoms and recovery time - most likely I only have a pulled muscle, and not herniated disk. I should only come back if the pain comes back again. Her boyfriend is a MMA enthusiast as well, pretty cool chick.
RECOVERY: Time to balance out my core and loosen muscles in glutes, legs and etc.

Diet: Day 63: 276.2

Diet:

Training - 2 hour of walking, 10 minutes of running.

No shit? I honestly give you about ten days before you bail on your log again, just like you did last time. If you're serious about this you better get your priorities in order instead of throwing a bunch of haphazard shit together at random.

Looks like you were right mate, throwing haphazard shit out was a blessing.

But ,hey, I lasted way longer than 10 days.

Day 64: 274.8 lbs
Day was fine, until I went to the dentist. God my tooth and the whole jaw hurt like a bitch. Took a lot of advil to put that away. I never really took painkillers in my life and whole exp. was interesting. Pain was gone and I had a nap.
I overate today, but it was on clean foods with lots of fruits and veggies, so I am actually glad I did it. The table is incomplete - I ate a pint of blueberries, one extra coffee and 2-3 spoons of sugar. So plus 300 calories to what you see below.

5a2cdv.jpg

Training: 1 hour of fast walking, 1 hour handing around the mall, 30 minutes of light/high rep workout with weights.

Still amazed at my recent weightloss, jeans are getting a bit baggy, and my legs are skinnier now. Will upload pics when I get to 270.

Good. keep it up, It was frustrating watch you tread water for along while. I look forward to watching the next 15 pounds disappear.

Also, if you to lose weight in a totally unhealthy way, Write a thesis. I dropped 30lbs in 8-9 weeks writing that beast.

Thanks bro. Its nice to know somebody reading my silly rants ).

Day 65: 276.8 Active day.
Went to chiropractor, looks like I got off easy with this injury. Got a bunch of complements on how I have farm boy's strength (even though I repeatedly told I grew up in Siberia, where its too cold for farms ) and good flexibility, yay.
2 days of hearty meals. Have to blame instant coffee... god that thing is addictive. Also I ate too much mango. I am still in caloric deficit because I train and walk, but no reason to eat more than I need.

I would like to share my diet savior recipe: 1 onion, 450 grams of bean sprouts, 300-400 grams of frozen vegetables, 2-6 eggs and lots of different spices. That meal is around 300-700 calories, but it feels like you just ate a field worth of cabbages. Really filling, cheap and nutritious.

I also..... stopped eating meat. For some reason, eggs digest really fast for me, and chicken breast kind of slowed down the whole process. I don't know what to think, but I like it so far.

TRAINING: 1 hour of relaxing walk,
10 minutes of arms, pull ups and push ups,
45 minutes of treadmill walk at 4.0 mph and 1.0 incline - 620 calories, surprisingly hard.
10 minutes of jogging.
( was raining - walked on treadmill instead )

Diet was a bit higher than I wanted it to be, but not bad still.

Finished watching Avatar Last Airbender and Legend of Korra.

It was the best animated product that I have ever watched, all the right messages, the fights, the music - and epic ending. Even had a little weep after it. Definitely must watch for anyone, regardless of age.

Just found out why my weight is stalling over the last 3 days.
The instant coffee packs 80 calories each, plus the sugar I add, is around 120 calories per cup. I drank like 4 each day. Also eating 2 kg of mango might have smth to do with it.
No more instant coffee with milk and sugar....even though its so so good.

My total calories must have been in 3800-4000 range.

Day 66: 277.1

I am not sure why I am gaining weight. My theory is antibiotics I am taking slow my digestion and I keep accumulating large amounts of vegetables/fruits in my intestines.

Training: Had extra time today and did a depletion workout. Pretty intense, jogged for 5 minutes after. Walked for an hour in the morning. Active day, but only slept 3 hours.

Had better diet today, but still needs improvement. I am seeing an old friend on sunday - kind of want to lose as much as I can tomorrow, and do Epsom salt bath at night.
