260 to 230

Coffee and cigs used to be the breakfast of champions.

Coke-a-Cola and M&Ms used to be coding fuel.

Those were better days.

Anyhoo, how's the MMA training going? I usually have one good day and then 50 bad days before I start regaining my technique and stamina. I haven't been able to keep it up long enough to return to regular training.

^It's morning now and I am seriously craving my coffee. It is amazing just how mentally-dependent I got in such a short time. It gave an excuse to drive to Tim Hortons every morning too.

Going to replace it with 3 bananas and a Spinach bunch shake.

MMA-wise, everything hurts, but I am going back today too. I had to reassert myself as the top dog in my gym by jabbing our "boxers" to death last time in sparring. Hespect regained haha.

I feel lighter too and I think my cardio is not that bad. What suffered was technique and speed. No snap in my punches or kicks, at least not as it used to be.

It's been a while for me to post some good stuff. So here we go.

Thought you might enjoy:

I don't know what it is about first days back in the gym, somehow I always do much much better than I should and then there's a giant drop off by the next session or two. It's like my body allows me to defend myself just once off of pure adrenaline and then promptly quits for a month or two.

^ Not my kind of music atm. I like something that allows me to explode in energy and shuffle hard. Check this one out though - I think you will like it:).

Day 306: -

EDIT Diet: Too many peanut butter sambitches. LOTS of spinach and bananas ~3600 calories. Overate late night - +1000 calories.

Activity: MT - 1 hour solid. 30 minutes on rehab/stretching. 30 minutes upper body workout.

.................................Fuck it will post deficit anyways.

Caloric Balance: +1000
Note: Got pretty tired with MT...but then again, it is not as bad as was other times when I went on a long vacation. 1-2 weeks and I will be back on the horse. Plus, I feel lighter...damn it, I AM lighter now. \

Note2: Whole gym noticed that I slimmed down....feels good man.

Activity: MMA - 1 hour. 30 minutes stretching, 15 minutes non stop sparring. Walking 45 minutes.

Note: Enjoying eating at maintenance, so much easier mentally, plus I feel very strong. ..like I can lift a car or a medium-sized woman.

Day 308: 253 lbs

Activity: Walking 30 minutes, skating on ice - 45 minutes, weights (upper body Alpha-Douche-bro style) - 30 minutes.

Balance: Even.

Note: First time skating in my life - I liked it. I am going to buy skates and do this on mornings - lots of fun. When I was 13 I was pretty good with roller blades, so that I will do in the summer. Felt it was good workout for the lower body too.

NO GUS!!! Damn it, I wanted to see Alex as the champion.

NO GUS!!! Damn it, I wanted to see Alex as the champion.

I'm surprised so many people had that much faith in Gus beating someone like Rumble. If Gus wins that fight 1 in 5 times I'd be shocked.

Gus still matches up extremely well with Jones and I'd still expect to see that fight by 2016.

Rumble has legit cardio concerns, so that's what I was banking on. I doubt Alex will be a champ....I don't know. I wish he improved his game more to include transitions and more diverse game. So far he has been the closest iteration of a pure boxer in MMA. Would love more wrestling and takedowns from him.

Day 309-311: 258lbs

Spent the weekend with friends and gf. Ate a bit too much some days, definitely gained a lot of weight in the last 20 days. However, it is manageable.

Diet: Has been pretty average.

It is Monday now - I am off to snowboard in Nevada from tomorrow. I don't know why, but I feel it is time to get back to a serious diet again.

Mood: Monday had some jitters and a bit of anxiety. But then again, I always do before trips.

Day 312-313:

Diet: small deficit.

Note: snowboarding, but not that much.

Spoke to my relatives in eastern Ukraine. How can Europe support that kind of violence, racism and nazi admiration, let alone give those scum government massive loans is beyond me....and all because Russia is close to pull out of dollar circulation.

Let's see who will be laughing (or burning ethnic Russians alive) in 5 years when the western Ukraine will run out of loans and means to support an army.

Especially disgusted with western media one sided presentation of the conflict: so many details omitted.

....like why the fuck USA is mum on the Boeing situation ? No proof has been presented .except the Ukrainian fighter jet dogging the plane before it was shot down.
And for some reason every article on yahoo! Indirectly blames Russia.

What about idolizations of nazi collaborators. What about ethnic cleansing?

Fcked up.

Day 314-320: not bad.

Diet: Counter productive 46 days x3 it's been. Around maintenance.

(V pravo 14 x3
V levo 64 x2.)
Note: Vegas here I come

followed the first couple pages of this blog

Vegas is going well, working at sci convention. Just met Matt Hughes - he is taller and less wide than I thought. He was really "all-business" and wasn't interrested in talking at all. Got his autograph but he shook my hand before I could ask for a picture. Was really weird to see him live, but whatever.

Too many buffets. Pretty sure I gained quite a lot but it's a lot of fun so far. Best vacation ever.

^Straight Catholics Implosion

Average size was around 6.1, 250 lbs. Lots of really big Americans. Quite a lot of guys naturally my size. Never felt so appropriate with my 250 pounds there hah. Got to give the Rednecks my hat off. Huge huge people. Matt Hughes was comically tiny compared to the fans that were meeting him.

George Bush missed it this year, a pity. Wanted to see those bastards.

Day 325: ~ Will measure my weight tomorrow, but going to Vegas buffet's with parents and their clients was not good for scale...that is certain. I expect to be a bloated 270lbs ATM. However, I doubt that real weight moved past 260 lbs. I have 40 days to cap off the year of dieting.

Diet: 1350 calories. I want to eat a pound of ground Australian lamb everyday, while I am still "rich" for the next 3-4 months. Will report on the difference. Also, spinach shakes every day with bananas or equivalent.

Training: Starting slow with stand up training, my knee still fcking hurts. So stretching and rehab will take priority, no more fcking jogging for a long time.

1.5 hours MT today.

Eating a pound of lamb a day sounds amazing. I don't even want to think about buffets. Its late and im hungry. Thanks for the comment on my log btw. Im going to take your advice and take it easy on the shoulder.

Day 326: 258lbs (expected more, much more).

Diet: 2000 calories, clean. Lots of spinach, mango and enoki mushrooms.

Exercise: Boxing class - 1 solid hour of work.

Note: Signed up for Fortis Power lifting gym, the one with Omar Isuf. Just saw him by the way, pretty stocky guy with a big head.

Note2: Diet is slowly getting back to where I want it to be. Just went to a Chinese store and got lots of diet supplies like 4 bags of spinach and so on. So damn cheap, cheaper than Costco.
