International 248 people, 66 children Palestinian dead after "Apartheid state" Israel launches airstrikes in Gaza

It's easy to see how much clear propaganda is coming from both sides of the Israel/Palestine conflict. Are there any unbiased news sources that report on it?

It's not moving there illegally Einstein. It's THEIR religious birthplace and country of origin and they were driven out and murdered. Repeatedly. The Muslims were the conquering invaders on a war of expansion.

You are simply willing to say "but that happened waaaaay before so it doesn't count anymore"

Religious birthplace? What kind of nonsense is this? The Jews gained Israel after the time of Moses about 3200 years ago. They were kicked out of that land by the Romans after they rejected their own Messiah and suffered the consequences. The Romans expelled the Jews from Jerusalem around 100AD, destroyed the Temple and allowed no Jews to live there. This means the Jews ruled over the land for around 1300 years. After they rejected Jesus almost 2000 years passed before they came back to terrorize the Palestinians and claim the land was there's by God given right. 2000 years! For comparison consider that it has been less than 500 years since the Native Americans lost America to the Europeans. You can't claim you ancestors owned some land 2000 years ago and so it belongs to you today. Secondly, the Muslims never took the land from the Jews. They took it from the Byzantines who ruled there at the advent of Islam. Consider also that the Muslims gained the land of Israel around 700 AD and then lost it recently meaning they also ruled over it for about 1300 years. The two groups, one the children of Abraham through Issac and the other the children of Abraham through Ishmael both ruled Israel for about 1300 years and today they fight over it. In this is a sign for those who believe in God.

This is the pact the leader of the Muslims signed with the inhabitants of Jerusalem (which the Romans called Aelia) in 638AD.

«In the name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate. This is the assurance of safety which the servant of God, ʿUmar, the Commander of the Faithful, has given to the people of Aelia(Jerusalem). He has given them an assurance of safety for themselves, for their property, their churches, their crosses, the sick and healthy of the city and for all the rituals which belong to their religion. Their churches will not be inhabited by Muslims and will not be destroyed. Neither they, nor the land on which they stand, nor their cross, nor their property will be damaged. They will not be forcibly converted. And Jews will not live in Aelia with them. The people of Jerusalem must pay the taxes like the people of other cities and must expel the Byzantines and the robbers. Those of the people of Jerusalem who want to leave with the Byzantines, take their property and abandon their churches and crosses will be safe until they reach their place of refuge. The villagers [who had taken refuge in the city at the time of the conquest] may remain in the city if they wish but must pay taxes like the citizens. Those who wish may go with the Byzantines and those who wish may return to their families. Nothing is to be taken from them before their harvest is reaped. If they pay their taxes according to their obligations, then the conditions laid out in this letter are under the covenant of God, are the responsibility of His Prophet, of the caliphs and of the faithful. Witnessed by: Khālid b. Walīd; ʿAmr b. al-ʿĀs; ʿAbd al-Rahmān b. al-ʿAwf; Muʿāwiya b. Abī Sufyān.» -- al-Tabari

Hamas is a terrorist organization. They are lobbing rockets non-stop at innocent Israelis. Some are killed their fellow Muslims. They are launching these rockets from civilian areas to deter Israel from stopping them.

Israel is internationally recognized as an apartheid state. The Palestinians are an occupied people facing extreme oppression at the hands of the Israelis. If they do nothing except complain and seek justice in the world court nobody listens and the Israelis continue their slow but brutal march to crush, expel and eliminate the Palestinians not just from their land but from history itself. It is the right of an occupied people to rebel and when the Palestinians do they play into Israeli hands and are accused of terrorism. It is exactly what is playing out today. This line of reasoning is aided and abetted by the Western powers where the Jews wield enormous power to make sure their propaganda is well disseminated and where they have they have a large percentage of politicians in their pockets or at the very least terrified or their power.

The Israeli oppression of the Palestinians was ratcheted up a notch last week. The Palestinians react and now they are declared terrorists that can be slaughtered at will. They have little to no capacity to harm Israel and they know it. They fire little rockets as acts of desperation knowing full well they will be bombarded in return. That the ratio of destruction will be 1:100 against them but still they rebel and resist. The average American is too brainwashed to see that they should support the Palestinian cause for freedom from their occupier. That the violence employed by an occupied and oppressed people is not terrorism. Self-determination is a difficult, costly march for the occupied. In Palestine, no matter what the weapon of choice - whether voice, pen or gun - there is a steep price to be paid for its use. I believe in the right of Palestinians to resist their occupiers.

Weren't a bunch of missiles fired at Israel first?

Sounds like at least in one town things are popping off between the two groups living there. Some dude was shot by an Israeli and the next day the Palestinians retaliated.

A number of Israeli cities with mixed Arab and Jewish populations have descended into violence in the past week, after Israel responded to rocket attacks from Hamas by conducting airstrikes in Gaza, leaving dozens dead. In Lod, where the Arab population had been living in relative peace with Israelis for years, rioters burned down a synagogue and a school after a Palestinian citizen was shot by an Israeli on Monday night, and set fire to cars. Lod Mayor Yair Revivo described the situation as “civil war” and compared it to the notorious Nazi-era “Kristallnacht” pogrom. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared a state of emergency. In Acre, a Jewish restaurant was burned down by rioters, and in the country’s southern Negev desert, mobs attacked police stations and cars. “My trust in my neighbors has been broken completely,” Lod resident Rivi Abramovich told The Jerusalem Post. “Until then, I believed we could live here together.”

A synagogue with charred walls and incinerated cars testified Wednesday to a breakdown of Arab-Jewish coexistence in the mixed city of Lod against the backdrop of the latest Israeli-Palestinian showdown.

For a long time, Jews and Arabs lived together in Lod. This week, everything fell apart.

On Monday night, as Hamas and Islamic Jihad militants in Gaza fired hundreds of rockets into the skies over Israel and Palestinians demonstrated in the West Bank and east Jerusalem, violence swept mixed cities of central Israel.

In Lod, an industrial city with rows of beige and grey homes with barred windows, where 40 percent of the population is Arab, groups of Arabs and Jews have confronted each other.

Mussa Hassuna, a 32-year-old father, was shot and killed in the clashes.

At his funeral on Tuesday, protesters torched cars, and hurled stones and Molotov cocktails.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared a "state of emergency" in Lod, at a time when Israel was being targeted by a deluge of rockets from Gaza and carrying out deadly air strikes on the Palestinian enclave.

A small synagogue was set ablaze, its windows blackened by flames.

Israeli President Reuven Rivlin, who celebrated a Ramadan "iftar" meal just weeks ago, condemned what he termed a "pogrom" by a "bloodthirsty Arab mob".

Outside the synagogue, Yoel Frankenburg, 34, remains furious.

"The Arabs are trying to kill us! And why they want to kill us I have no idea!" he said.

"I've been living here for 12 years and most of the time I've been a good neighbour.

"They attacked me, they threw stones at me... I had to send my (five) children out of town," to their grandparents.

He said several Jewish families had their guns ready, because "the police do nothing".

- 'Things have changed' -

Arabs say families like Yoel's are no different than the Jewish nationalists who settle in the occupied West Bank.

"Things started to change about 10 years ago, when extremist groups began to move into the neighbourhood," said Wael Abo Sharkh, an Arab resident.

"As soon as these extremists started to arrive, things changed," and Arab youths have reacted against the transformation of their city, he said.

Many of Lod's Arab citizens accuse the mayor's office of facilitating the influx of "extremist" Jews.

Outside the local courthouse, dozens of Israelis held a demonstration Wednesday in support of three Jews arrested in connection with Hassuna's killing.

A semi-automatic weapon slung over his shoulder, Meir Layosh marshalled the crowd with a loudspeaker while cradling a baby in a stroller.

"We're not violent... but we have to protect ourselves against terrorists and anti-Semites," said Layosh.

"These people don't want us here, but I have a message for them: We're staying put," he said.

I don't understand why Israel keeps building illigal settlements on Palestinian land then acts like a victim.

Now the police are mainly targeting Israeli extremist settlers? After the horrific beating of the isreali Palestinian in his car that just happened.

read hareetz for story
Clashes between Arabs and Jews have spilled over, on Wednesday night, to additional Israeli cities, as violence resumed for the third consecutive day.

In the northern mixed Arab-Jewish city of Acre, five Israeli Arabs have attacked a 30-year-old Jewish man, who was seriously wounded and was evacuated to hospital. Before the incident, police instructed Arab shop owners to shut them in advance of the expected arrival of a group of right-wing extremists. Moreover, police have arrested overnight Wednesday a 25-year-old Acre resident who allegedly has shot toward police officers in the scene.

In the Tel Aviv suburb of Bat Yam, a mob of right-wing Jewish extremists pulled an Arab driver out of his car and beat him. He was evacuated for medical treatment in serious condition. Prior to the event, dozens of right-wing activists marched in the city and attacked a number of Arab-owned businesses. The rioters smashed glass windows, threw objects and chanted racist slogans. "The Israeli police will not allow public disturbances, violence and attempts to hurt officers," police, which were not stationed at the scene amid reports, said in a statement. Moreover, police have opened an investigation. “We will get to each and every one of the attackers who participated in this horrifying lynching,” police said. In a different part of the city, a police car was torched.

A Jewish man was shot and suffered moderate-to-serious wounds, as well as two other Jews who suffered moderate stabbing wounds. In addition, a 42-year-old Arab resident of Lod checked into one of the city's hospitals with moderate gunshot wounds.

Earlier, some 200-300 right-wing activists have been trying to make their way to the Ramat Eshkol neighborhood of Lod, and were pursued by police. From the surrounding windows, residents are hurling rocks at the activists.

Police beefed up forces in the city after a state of emergency was declared. In a statement, police said the unusual measures are meant to “maintain the safety and security of Lod residents and safeguard their property.”

Five hundred Border Police officers have been placed in the city. Residents will be allowed to enter the city only if they are returning from work.

In the northern city of Or Akiva, a 30-year-old Israeli Arab man was seriously wounded in rampage by Jews on a main highway nearby. A police officer suffered a hit to her head and six of the rioters were arrested.

In Jerusalem, a 25-year-old man has suffered a puncture wound following a fight in the Mahaneh Yehuda market in the city.

In the city of Tiberias, an Arab driver was attacked and lightly wounded when he accidentally passed through the location where right-wing extremists were marching, police said. A policeman protecting the driver was lightly wounded by a stone that was thrown at them, and four people were arrested, according to the police statement. Riot police were deployed to the scene.

In the northern Arab city of Tamra, a 50-year-old Jewish man, who accidentally entered the city, was assaulted and stabbed in the neck. He was evacuated to hospital in Haifa in a moderate condition.

In the northern city of Haifa, a 20-year-old Arab driver who found himself surrounded by a Jewish mob was assaulted. As he was trying to flee the scene he run into one of the rioters and was arrested.

Noooo they had been living there and getting kicked out and killed off and on for thousands of years. Constantly.
you make it sound like they should have just taken their annihilation and disappeared.

I love how you move goal posts. Attacked by its neighbors first you mean.

"oh the Israeli's have nukes and defended themselves against attacks. Why can't the Terrorists fire rockets at them without fear of them striking with superior armaments"
Those terrorists are why such a strict iron fisted government and military exists.

Israel was founded by terrorist you ignorant little git, and they elected several of their PM's from those internationally recognized terrorist groups. Palestinians have every right to fight back against the illegal occupation of the WB and the blockade/siege of Gaza. Only a sad demented hasbara troll would defend an apartheid state.

Reports that ground invasion into Gaza given the greenlight.

Gaza is like what......roughly the same size as the larger NYC metro area. Or LA. With maybe 2 million people.

The contest is not in doubt of the victor. But we shall see what kind of ATGM hamas has in its Arsenal.

Sure it does, bro.

https://www.jns.org/opinion/why-does-the-new-york-times-incessantly-attack-israel/

"According to David Bernstein, president and CEO of the Jewish Council for Public Affairs, the Times holds “a decided institutional bias” against Israel. This was after his organization researched 107 editorials on Israel and Jews published in the Times since 2016."

"The situation has become so extreme that opinion editor Bari Weiss, one of the few openly Zionist voices employed by the Times in recent years, felt forced to resign in July 2020 because of harassment. According to Weiss, her colleagues called her a “Nazi” and “racist,” and intimated that she wrote too many “Jewish stories.”

"The Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America (CAMERA) has long chronicled the Times’s bias against Israel. In a study undertaken in 2011, CAMERA found a “disproportionate, continuous, embedded indictment of Israel that dominates both news and commentary sections. Israeli views are downplayed while Palestinian perspectives, especially criticism of Israel, are amplified and even promoted.” The net effect, states the report, “is an overarching message, woven into the fabric of NYT coverage, of Israeli fault and responsibility for the conflict.”

"Two of the authors of that study, senior CAMERA analysts Ricki Hollander and Gilead Ini, explained the paper’s tactics: “Without employing the type of crude incitement against Israelis that is rampant in Palestinian society, the NYT poisons the public’s mind against Israel by shaping the perception of the Jewish state as responsible for many, if not most, of the region’s ills.”

"While Beinart has long described himself as a “liberal Zionist,” it is clear this has always been a fig leaf for more sinister views. As global communications director for the American Jewish Committee (AJC), Avi Mayer tweeted in response to the article, “Let’s be clear: you’re no friend of the Jews if you deny us our right to self-determination and you’re not a liberal Zionist if you want Israel to disappear.”

So, go ahead @PulsingJones, by all means post examples of MSM being 'all over the Jews cock...' as you so describe, or else we'll figure the rest is anti-Israel bias.
Wait, you're serious then?
The western media pro-israel bias is not something that is up for debate.. It's as clear as day to anyone who was following the conflict for the last few decades.

It manifests itself in either de-emphasizing Palestinian plights, and emphasizing any harm that comes to Israel.

OR

Using sly language that makes the reader sympathize with Israel.

Even big tech (Social media) is censoring Pro-Palestine posts

Facebook, Instagram accused of bias by censoring Palestinian content (arabnews.com)

Joe Biden also released a statement that just acknowledged "Supporting Israel's rights to defend itself" with no mention to the forceful evictions, disgracing the holy mosque, or the war crimes in Gaza.

It's laughable that you'd even try to suggest that Israel is painted as a victim in the media or the western political sphere... Are you a jew yourself? Would explain a lot.

So it's a fight over land correct? Land that's been fought over since the crusades? Seems like it's a religious war at it's core. This fighting has been going on since the crusades. I do think it will intensify, Hamas is funded by Iran and Iran can get involved at any time. All I know is the fighting will continue, it will get worse, and it will affect the rest of the world. There is already casualties on both sides and there will be more as the fighting escalates.

those rockets have been in place just waiting for ANY kind of provocation. thats right unguided rockets have been setup to fire indiscrimately into israel at the drop of hat.
And you think Israel does not have military assets in place ready to respond to all external threats? Those rockets barely do any damage, considering how many are launched. Now compare to the amount of deaths and damage Israel carries out.

You’re right, Palestinians are a modern creation and Jewish history in the region precedes their existence more than 2500 years or so. So historical context of a modern conflict is in your eyes... “irrelevant” because you’re such a “serious person.” Gtfo
Saying Palestinians are a "modern creation" is like saying "Native Americans" were created only a few centuries ago.

This is not the answer....

Who recognies them as an aparthied state?

You know they now have more economic and allied ties with Arab nations and even the Chinese and Russians? In 2000 maybe you had a case but last year we saw former enemies of Israel sign peace agreements and share economic ties

And you think Israel does not have military assets in place ready to respond to all external threats? Those rockets barely do any damage, considering how many are launched. Now compare to the amount of deaths and damage Israel carries out.

Man you are twisted indeed. You basically believe Hamas is righteous and that because not enough Jews are dying their response is too much.

yes and that "elsewhere" was within MENA. they were booted from their former countries and fled to israel.

i dont support jewish supremacy but as far israel is concerned pushing the inhabitants of the west bank and the gaza strip into the neighbouring countries is the most peaceful solution.

have you seen the ethnic clashes taking place, this is not healthy.
Sephardic Jews are not just those who moved elsewhere in the MIidEast, they also include those Jews who moved to Iberia and North Africa, with North Africa being mostly non Semitic.

You do support Jewish supremacy when you support Ethnic Cleansing of Palestinians. You are totally and ONLY looking at the selfish tribal interests of one group and completely fine with war crimes being committed against innocent people. And all the while couching this war crime as a humane solution. Frankly dude, you come off like a CCP apologist justifying their detention camps as humane.
